For a few hectic hours I thought I'd lost my passport. Fortunately, it was right where I forgot I left it. It's a new one and since 01/01/2010 I was a bit surprised to notice that in the last two months I've been in:
1. Canada
2. Mexico
3. Panama
4. The UK (just saw the inside of a taxi and a bad hotel)
5. Lisbon, Portugal
6. Barcelona, Spain,

and now we're on our way back to Buenos Aires to check in on the mother-in-law who was recently flooded out of her home by more rain that BsAs has seen in recorded history. I used to enjoy traveling, but my bones is a gettin' old.

I still haven't left the country... :(

BUT... I've lived in California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Florida... and I've visited/been through New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina.

I'm sorry about your mother in law. I keep my passport and other important documents in a lock box so I always know where it is when I need it.
But since 1 January 2010 I've only been to London.

I have 201 cities in 5 countries on my facebook "cities you've been to" page. Nothing like you, Midlifebear. I can see how your bones are getting tired. I'm envious of you and all your travels.

In the last two months?
Salzburg, Miami, Montreal, NYC, Berlin and Istanbul.

I really dislike flying on airlines. I don't mind any form of ground transportation and I'm really trying to re-order my life to eliminate airline travel. But I have not figured out how to go overland to Dubai by next Thursday.

I've only left the country once, when my family went to Canada in 1993 (I think). I barely remember any of it, and I'd love to travel to somewhere else.

Since 01/01/10 I have been in Italy: Amalfi, Pompeii, Venezia, Brenner Pass (Austria), San Gimignano, Siena, and Roma. Aside from that I've been stuck on home turf. I really want to get out more.

Isn't Amalfi great? I have friends with a small farm there and try to visit every year or two.

If you do, it should be a great trip and I'd like to hear about it.

It's going to be a quickie so no choice but ArabAir.

But, we are trying to plan a circumnavigation of the Black Sea by motorcycle and/or truck. I am hoping it can come off this summer, but with all this work to do it's hard.

This year? Ireland, France, and the Netherlands, and back in USA. I was only in Amsterdam for a layover at Schipol, but technically I was there if only for an hour and a half.

Technically you weren't... As long as you are in the airport you are on international grounds and not in that country. The movie 'the terminal' explains this fact too.

41 US states, 12 Mexican states, 2 Canadian provinces

Outside North America, in order: Luxembourg, Germany, France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, UK, Iceland, India, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Spain

New Mexico is my favorite US state although most of my travels are in the southeast.
