Another point about circumcising infants. I understand about letting them choose to be circumcised when they reach adulthood. The cost of the procedure can be prohibitive for some people without medical insurance. That was my problem for several years. I had insurance also but I ended up paying out of pocket most of the cost. At the time I got circumcised the total charge was around $950.00. I'm sure it is much more now, since I got circumcised several years ago. I often wished my parents had had it done when I was born. I ask myelf how many more guys are in this same situation I was in? There are perhaps many guys out there who would like to be circumcised, except they don't have the financial means to that end.
It would have been much cheaper to have had it done when I was born. I had a friend who once told me he would like to get circumcised, but he passed away before getting it done. Here again it was the cost that prohibited him from it. Does anyone know the current total cost to have it done today? I know some have it done as an "out patient" procedure. Mine was an in hospital procedure for 3 days. Checked in on a Wednesday, operation was Thursday morning, discharged on Friday morning.

Cutting babies because they might want to get cut as adults is a really stupid idea. Where it's not customary (and doctors know more about the foreskin than just how to cut it off), the lifetime risk of a man needing or wanting to be circumcised is one in thousands.

What's wrong with your argument is that if a man hates being circumcised, no amount of money will get his original foreskin back.

Polls here and elsewhere indicate (they're not scientific) that men are much more likely to be happy with being intact than happy with being cut. If you want a man to be happy with his genitals, leave them TF alone.

This argument doesn't make any sense. If a guy wants to be circumcised, he has to pay -- that's inconvenient, yes. Is it more inconvenient than having no option? No. Being inconvenienced is obviously better than being screwed. I swear that I've pointed this out to you before.

Does anyone know the current total cost to have it done today? I know some have it done as an "out patient" procedure. Mine was an in hospital procedure for 3 days. Checked in on a Wednesday, operation was Thursday morning, discharged on Friday morning.

A three-day outpatient procedure? I have no idea how they got away with doing that unless you had some sort of complication. You got cheated out of some money, bro.

i wonder, what were your and those others' reasons for wanting to remove your foreskin?
because our cocks are something we all keep the most safe of all our body, wash it with the most gentle soap, we like someone else admiring it more than our face or muscles, so id just like to know what was it that made you let someone with a knife near it?

I was circumcised as an infant and I'm not happy about it. You paid $950 to get cut as an adult. How much do I have to pay to reverse the procedure?

i know, he only had his frenulum removed, and it actually looks like it slides perfectly, and can stay retracted if he wants, it may be even better than pure untouched dick. but to get rid of foreskin...
i mean, wikipedia: The World Health Organization state that there is "debate about the role of the foreskin, with possible functions including keeping the glans moist, protecting the developing penis in utero, or enhancing sexual pleasure due to the presence of nerve receptors

Likely not even surgically removed or cut. Some guys just have a naturally small, nearly absent, frenulum. Their experience is the opposite of those with fb (frenulum breve). That's why it's so hard to generalize about how foreskin "should" function. Video from the same site you posted.

I would be interesting if a prof asked how many guys in the class were cut; whether those with a frenuplasty or dorsal slit would count.

Young Native read it again. i didn't say my operation was an "outpatient procedure." I said it was an "in hospital procedure." How could it be an "outpatient" procedure if I was in the hospital Wednesday, Thursday and Friday? You need to comprehend what you read. But what can one expect having attended government schools?

That was a typo; I meant to type "inpatient." I think that should have been contextually obvious, but it doesn't matter. I have no idea how that typo changed the meaning of my post (you'd have gotten lessscrewed financially by a multi-day outpatient procedure); prompted you to ignore my rebuttal to your infant circumcision argument (which was most of my post); or elicited such a weird insult (I'd recheck the rankings of top primary care medical schools before you dis state schools.)

Anyway, whenever you're done making yourself look ridiculous, how about an actual response to the substance of my post?

To clarify, in my case the question did not eventually arise, I was freaking out over nothing...

You should not have been put in that position. Way too personal of the professor, and none of his or her business.

The WHO is full of shit. They swallowed the 3 jimmied African studies done by a conspiracy of fetishists who played fast and loose with the truth, hook, line, and sinker. They turned their organization into a rubber stamp for medical articles, by the hundreds, which were accepted totally without review in places like Wikipedia. Does circumcision make a difference in HIV infection? They are seriously downplaying it, now that anti-retrovirals are the next big thing.
Their blind acceptance of cutting, without a glance at the down sides, or the rate of transfer from men to women regarding circumcision status, sickens me.

I think I made the position to put myself in, circumcision ended up being just a one time passing comment in the lecture not the subject itself, no questions were asked, only half a thought was really given to it

I'm cut and I hate it, I don't really enjoy sex all that much because my glans is so insensitive. If given a choice I would have been uncut. I see no reason to cut someone at birth unless it is medically important. Even thought it is not advised at all by the APA I understand why your professor went that route, he had to shut the class up and get back on topic. Though if I were there we would have gotten more off topic lol because I would have raised my hand and would have had something to stay about it. Uncut cock is not gross, its not weird, it's natural and it's tragic that baby boys everywhere have to have themselves mutilated without choice and no one seems to even care.

The anticircs belong to 1% of American men. They have lost the battle. That is why they say the same things over and over again. The majority has won. Circumcision is here to stay for many good reasons.
