Hey guys,

I have a problem here with my tool... I can't get it hard and at full size :(
When I get a hardon, it's comes up to maybe 60% of what it can be... if I get excited enough, ill cum before it comes of to 100% of hardnest... any clue how to change that? Or is it normal to be semi-hard when masturbating?

Maybe not the situation you are describing exactly but a friend of mine, that over the years I have seen many times soft and a couple times erect, is just like this.
Soft he hangs what I would say 6-7 inches and really thick but erect at some angles he seems to shrink to 5 -5 inches and really isnt thick at all.
Always thought it odd but thats about it.

Yeah see the doctor. Maybe check for Diabetes; it can effect potency. But remember Julio that even a soft or smi erect penis can be very attractive. David.

If you're young it's most likely to be related to diet/exercise/circulation. Improve those and you'll definitely see a difference.

To get nerve or arterial damage from diabetes or a poor lifestyle would take years.

Anxiety is the most likely cause in your age group. Alternatively, an injury is possible, but you would have likely noticed a painful experience when this happened.

Over-masturbation may temporarily make it more difficult to get erect. I notice that I tend to get progressively weaker erections after cumming (a fourth go around is very difficult). But, this should recover in a matter of hours to a few days.

There are some anecdotes that larger penises are more difficult to get fully hard and they tend to have more give to them when erect. I guess it takes more blood to fill and there is more surface area that this blood must push against to shut off the veins. A few studies have also shown that especially long penises with a thin to average girth are at a mechanical disadvantage and more difficult to get erect.

A few studies have shown that Kegel exercises to strengthen pelvic floor muscles may improve erectile function. Some people claim the effect may be as big as that of Viagra: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?tool=pubmed&pubmedid=15527607

I do that "piss holding muscle" exercise often but I think its stress and pain like as I posted in an other message, I have problems with my foreskin... doesn't come of completely and if I force it, it's pretty painful when I touch that area... during penetration its annoying and painful while masturbating so I avoid the head where most of the nerves are...makes sense to me! When I jerk off I go up and down but concentrated under the head and if I go up its painful....

OP: opening post or opening poster. In the context that Bbucko used, it meant opening poster. In other words: you, Julio47, should see a doctor.

The phimosis (foreskin tightening) should be checked by a doctor -- depending on your insurance go to a urologist or general surgeon. Sounds like the in-ability to obtain and maintain 'optimal' hardness is do from a myriad of things ~ including the phimosis, anxiety, and possibly stress. Glad to hear it's not diabetes though. Get it checked out, make a plan. Things most likely will get better bud.

I live in Quebec so medical consultation is free but extremely hard to get an appointment :(

Here's my plan after reading all your advices: I'll talk about it to my sexologist, she might give me good advices, exercices or refer me to a urologist. Plan B would be a appointement at the local clinic and i'll see from there! I just want to avoid surgery...

Regarding Phimosis -- In the US you could go to a general surgeon who probably sees more of it than a GP, or ideally you would see a Urologist if available or if covered by your insurance. You could see a general surgeon in his clinic and they would either advise on surgery or other management. I didn't say he should get it operated on ~ but should be seen by someone who seems many of similar cases.

Regarding the erectile problems ~ yes a primary care physician would be the best first step, and they could refer you to the urologist for that if needed.

Honestly if anything I'm the most biased towards being managed by the patient's primary care provider whether its a NP PAC, or Family Physician. However general surgeons have more urology training than family physicians, especially in regard to the surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Sorry if this sounded like a rant or ramble, just trying not to be misunderstood.

Surgery would be the last and worst case scenario. I'm sure that the issue can be resolved without cutting.
