if sex in humans was purely for procreation and not bonding, why can't men smell when women are fertile and only desire sex with them then?
and why do women accept sex when they're not fertile?

sex doesnt infact promote bonding, have sex with someone you don't like over and over again, and you'll feel some sense of connection despite your hatred for them. Trust me, I've experienced the phenomenon first hand (ugh). Friends with benefits? I like to sex with normal friends, but they're still just my friend. Sexuality is such an interesting subject...

Ummmm there have been several studies that show that when a woman is ovulating men are more attracted to them and women are more likely to have sex...

more but not exclusively, you dippy moo.
we waste energy, shagging when we're not fertile.

a bitch is only horny on heat.
a woman can get horny any time.

and menstruating.
and pregnant.

in fact most women i talk to {who aren't freaks like me} say that preggers is the horniest time ever.
the only explanation is stregthening the bond.

well I agree sex is partly about strengthening bonds, but I was responding to your assertion that men don't know when a woman is ovulating:rolleyes:

they don't know. consciously.
and they want sex all the time.
there's just a little more draw towards the fertile ones...which makes sense.

For a different perspective on dolfette's original question, it's generally accepted in contemporary psychology that humans are naturally bisexual.

Homosexuality is unnatural insofar as it does not lead to new life.

Ok...i think you're progressing...you've gone from homosexuality is un-natural to attaching an addage to the sentence, certainly less offensive,
but it must be said that the new statement is a pointless one as you can omit the 'un' part of unnatural and therfore be promoting evryone elses view that it IS natural....AND BESIDES....you are not listening, read my last posts prior to this....homosexuality is perhaps irregular, is uncompatible to reproduction relating ONLY to gay sex (we can still make babies) but it is NOT un-natural.

Your comment is basically equivalant to me saying rocks are unnatural insomuch as they are not born, reproduce and die.
Rock is natural, its purpose is not a life-form...i'm really trying to hammer home to you that natural things are not connected to reproduction yet you continue to link anything that lives to that end simply because thats how living things exist....its a pre-requisite for life but not necessary for nature.

i.e Life is to living as natural is to nature
stop confusing the two as reproduction relates to the former more than the latter

This is my future vision..a total bisexual humanity.....in the year 4509 maybe but still.....i have often felt that bisexuality is the perfect way to be and sometimes wished i was too but the important thing is it is right for now so i'm very very happy!

I think it means that if it feels good, we human animals do it. The gay/straight divide is a product of social restraints, like religion and macho culture. I'm sure that there's a continuum of same sex/opposite sex attraction. Nature wants variation. She/he never knows what will work best. In an overpopulated world, gay works better and better.
