All that means is that said animal has not passed on its genes.

I thought I just might point out that just b/c something is natural, doesn't necessarily make it desireable (not shaving, living in caves, only ever having sex with the purpose of procreating) and just b/c something is unnatural doesnt necessarily make undesireable (GAY SEX, shaving, sex for non-procreating purposes, experimenting with life, reading and writing, technology?). Basically, arguing whether something is natural or not states nothing on whether its desireable or not. They are two separate points.
