Well, it looks kinda like an SG, which is one of my favorite vintage guitars. But the body is thicker, and I like a heavier body on electrics. My bass weighs 9 lbs, and it feels good when I hang it from my neck.

If you listen to their samples, you can hear that those pickups scream. They wrap them hotter, and set them up so the bridge pickup dominates the neck pickup slightly. Great tones.

I haven't played them, but the specs look really good and the samples sound quite lively. I mostly like the looks. I was leery of buying instruments by mail order until I bought a Carvin acoustic last year. I'm over my reservations.

Sorry, Hick. I already spent my "guitar allowance" last November. I searched the web, daily, for months and finally found a vintage (1975) Alvarez 12-string. It's in superb condition, except one of the machine heads needs to be replaced. I've been searching the web for months, and can't find the right replacement. <sigh> I've even tried to find a whole set of 12, but can't find any that match the specs. I may have to break down and actually make modifications to the wood. <sob.>

It's got an incredible sound, though!
