By page 39 I had to reach w-a-a-ay back to the 1920s. This song was actually made famous by the 1950s movie Spirit of St. Louis starring Jimmy Stewart as Charles A. Lindbergh. Lindbergh was laying awake in his hotel room the night before his historic flight from New York to Paris. Unable to sleep, he hears music wafting through the walls of his room; the sound of an Irish tenor crooning Rio Rita.

Note how the singer rolls his r's in this ninety-year-old recording. The famous excerpt in the movie is from 1:10-1:35: "Rio, Rio Rita, life is sweet(a)…"
