Eric Clapton- Wonderful Tonight. (A DJÂ at a resort once mistakenly played the wrong cut, Tears In Heaven, and ruined an hour of musical foreplay.)
Righteous Brothers- Unchained Melody. If you are not brain dead by the one millionth playing of this romantic ballad, a sure fire deal closer.
Johnny Mathis- True Love Ways. Every time I hear this ooey-goey female song at a resort, I think ex-president Bill Clinton is behind the stage curtain playing riffs on the tenor sax to his latest rendition of Monica Lewinsky in the audience.
Dolly Parton- I Will Always Love You. Brings tears to women's eyes and looks of bewilderment to men's who wonder what the Hell they did wrong to ruin the mood.

A nice selection you have there, though I prefer Emmylou Harris' version of 'I will always love you'. Johnny Mathis is a little too ooey for my taste, but 'Unchained Melody' is what I call a guaranteed clam-opener.
By the way, as you mention James Bond, a whole lot of tunes from these movies are great as songs too - just take
* Nancy Sinatra's 'You only live twice'
* Carly Simon's 'Nobody does it better'
* Sheena Easton's 'For your eyes only'
The last one is, of all, my favorite romantic J.B. tune. Unfortunately since 1995, the quality of the tunes deteriorated.
