I have this irritating thing that happens that I can't predict. I get pain in my left ball when I wear certain kinds of underwear or other clothing items, although I am not sure which ones will cause it. Generally, it is certain types of boxer briefs. They are normally the culprits. This week I think a new pair of bib cycling shorts caused the problem. Years ago I went to the doctor and had a test done. Nothing was identified. I wonder if these clothing items somehow lean against a certain nerve. I also wonder if my vasectomy from many years ago somehow is involved. Anybody have such an experience? It's hard to know when it's going to happen and what clothing items are going to cause the problem. So I spend money that becomes wasted.

I have the same problem, but it's not clothing related. I just get sensitivity and pain. Then it goes away. No apparent reason. I worried about testicular cancer, so I asked my GP to check. Nothing abnormal. I do my own manual tests occasionally. It does seem to "toughen up" the more I manipulate it. Then again, I still get those random moments of inexplicable pain and discomfort. I hope you find the common denominator for it.

Sounds like a spasm of the cremaster muscle that supports the gland in the scrotum. It can hurt like hell, and usually resolves spontaneously. That said, next time it hits, call your doctor, let him or her know that you would like a testicular ultrasound exam. Take a look inside, just to be safe. Painless albeit a tad embarrassing. But the peace of mind is great. (For what it's worth, unfortunately testicular cancer doesn't hurt)

I have had an ultrasound a long time ago for the same thing. It's been going on for a long time. I just can never predict which items of clothing is going to cause the problem. It lingers sometimes, too, when I have sex or if I don't bring masturbation to fulfillment. The other night I wore some bib shorts--and I wear bib shorts all the time--and then some boxer briefs. Boom, pain! I do not have the symptoms described in the article. Just pain, sometimes dull only in my left nut. Briefs, no problem, unless they are really brief and tight. Jockstraps, no problem. Boxers, which I don't like, no problem. Most of my bib shorts, no problem, except for this new pair, which is designed to provide more support to the package. It just gets irritating, especially when it lingers on. When it does linger on, I go commando, and that helps.
