Just got my 1st set of sounding rods and would like some how to advice.

How deep can u go....

I've cleaned and lubed the rods so far can insert up to an 8mm about 4 inches into my cock. There I meet resistance even with the smallest rod. How deep can u go....should I try to go past that point.

I've watched videos and looks like all go past that point pretty far.

How do u go further?

Hey guys.....I have been sounding and playing with catheters for 10 years....It only gets better...the more you know yourself and especially your anonomy. I bought myself vanburen sounds. They have a curve in them to fit the paratoniel area and prostate/bladder. Do play safe...use only water based sterile lubes and antiseptic wipes before play. Google van buren sounds, pratt and dittel...look at the difference in structure and character. Trial and error is nice.....playing with someone who knows is another. I now play with a 36 french van buren sound which takes the wind out of my sails. Wishing you the best....maybe we will cross paths.

Using home products makes me more nervous, because they are not meant for this, sounds are perfectly smooth. As for lube, water based only and a good sterile cleaning first. I totally agree. I have a set of Van Burens with the J curve, also cook them in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes before using, water based lube and let gravity to the job. The sensation of the slide in and down is unreal. As BBB2.5 said, no home made devices, start small and let the sound slide in on it's own. Been sounding now for about 5 weeks and luoving it. I've worked up to a 10mm sound and have a new ribbed one thats 3/8" dia... its about 11" long and I have inserted all but the las 1.5". I'll post pics in my photo section.
