Spate of Attacks Near Ramadan Trouble U.S. Muslims

You know what they say right? If you can't find a crisis, make your own. Well, it seems that the Mosque that burned down in Joplin Missouri has pissed off a lot of Muslims.

I'm not the betting type, but what are the odds that at least one of these scenarios will occur?
  • Muslims will carry out an act of violence which will be used as a justification for either erosions of our rights or outright suspension of rule of law?
  • The government will goad a mentally imbalanced person, or mentally imbalanced people who probably wouldn't have done anything violent on his/their own accord into carrying out violent act/acts resulting either an arrest or arrests, or a successful act which would then be used to erode our rights or suspend the rule of law outright?
  • The government will carry out an act of terrorism which would be blamed on Muslims and be used to justify eroding what's left of our rights further, or suspending the rule of law?
  • The perceived possibility of Muslim violence will be used to justify erosions of our rights
Lately the way the FBI has been entrapping mentally unbalanced people and goading them into doing violent acts, the way the media has latched onto every violent act committed this summer, the possible fact that the Aurora shooting was orchestrated (either by manipulating at least one person -- there have been reports of possibly two and more than one gas mask was found), and the fact that the Sikh temple attack was carried out by an ex serviceman (the Obama administration has labeled ex-servicemen as potential domestic terrorists along with mainstream conservatives, and lumped them in with right-wing militants, and white supremacists) seems to suggest that the elite are trying to make it appear as if there's constant danger everywhere, a terrorist under every rock, and desire to link terrorism to ordinary violent crime and use this to justify everything imaginable.

Keep in mind the series of events occurring over the past 1-3 years
  • Obama has asserted the right to kill American citizens who he arbitrarily decides are terrorists
  • Terrorism has expanded to include protesters, conservatives, and ex-servicemen
  • Drones are being used with reckless abandon in the middle east creating more terrorists than they kill
  • Drones have been cleared to be used in the United States which create the potential to create a privacy nightmare and the means to bump-off anybody the government doesn't like
  • The NSA unhappy that it hasn't captured every last piece of signal traffic on everybody has created a facility in Utah (and possibly Maryland) to ensure they will for datamining purposes (effectively establishing a Minority Report society).
  • The various cyber-security bills effectively allow anybody to engage in surveillance and provides a cyber-security exemption to the 4th Amendment, the NSA would most likely be placed in charge of the effort which would be used to justify the illegal warrantless wiretapping and S.2105 includes provisions for cybersecurity "countermeasures" which are unspecified and pretty much amount to censoring -- allowing us to be kept in the dark.
  • The Senate wants to make whistle-blowing a crime even if the information revealed shouldn't have been classified, even if it exposed un-constitutional conduct, corruption, or criminality. This will serve to keep us in the dark, and embolden the government to classify anything they can stamp CLASSIFIED.
  • The NYPD has implemented a Domain Awareness System which effectively includes private cameras (which are exempt from the 4th Amendment even though it's unclear that these private cameras are being used with the consent of the owners of them), facial recognition software, and the means to basically track everything that moves and chronicle our daily movements. It will be used for both law enforcement and anti-terrorism functions
  • A program called TrapWire is being used for a similar purpose as above with the proposed ability to identify hostile intent (unclear if it's accurate), identify people and chronicle every move
  • A technology developed by DHS which can actually track people at the molecular level from 164 feet away and based on the laser frequencies use and their similar behavior to IR light could potentially eviscerate privacy at the most basic level.
These aren't actions of a country that values individual liberty and believes that people have the right to be left alone by their government unless there exists a suspicion of wrongdoing. This is the actions of a government who wants to spy on everybody, identify, and neutralize threats to the status quo. This isn't about our safety, this isn't about terrorism -- this is about protecting themselves from us!

The Soviet Union might have been more overtly oppressive, but they don't got shit on the surveillance capabilities we're using or developing and there have even been NSA officials who have blown the whistle on our government who have stated that the US is becoming more like the country they joined to fight -- the former USSR.

In a world where people use crises to get what they want, nothing can ever be okay, there always has to be conflict, always has to be a terrifying external or internal threat, or both. There can't be peace -- peace is the enemy.

Personally, I think we need to start seriously protesting the actions of our government. This is way beyond the topic of this thread. The government has declared war on our rights, our freedom, and everything that this country is supposed to stand for.

We cannot sit back and do nothing, yet we cannot engage in violence as it would result in brutal crack-downs and round-ups. The power-elite would just love to seize an opportunity to bring down the hammer for good and we can't give them that.

I've been recommending peaceful protests, though the odds of success are low, every other option is guaranteed to fail.

Doing nothing, engaging in violence all have a 100% chance of failure, but non-violent protest has a 99% chance of failure -- admittedly, the odds are shit, but what would you rather have 1% chance of success or 0%?

We don't really have anything to lose and we might as well react now before some kind of staged terror attack occurs.

I know I can sometimes preach a bleak, and pessimistic message. I could preach a bunch of optimistic things but that would be dishonest and immoral in my opinion.

If you care about your country, your rights and freedoms, and are opposed to violence, forward this around to like minded individuals. I recommend people who live in any country belonging to the following
Contact friends who live in the US, forward this around among concerned individuals where you live as the power-elite types occupy and exert control over these nations. I have heard statements to suggest Australia and Canada have been expressing interests in implementing crackdowns -- this is NOT just a U.S. thing.

BTW: No matter how I die, it was murder, if I disappear -- it wasn't voluntary!
