How funny. You edited your reply as I was typing and then it updated once I posted!?!??

What happens to the comment that speedos are only worn by old men walking the Agean Sea? Hummmmmm.

The rest of us Americans have got to get our heads out of our collective asses forcing the ideas that the Male Body is a taboo subject and not to be seen. If you show a little bulge then your "gay" or a perv. But the female … the more the merrier. We should all be allowed to wear/not-wear ... Show what we want the same. Men have penises, women have tits. Get over it! They're all beautiful— in all their shapes and sizes!!!!!

Ok… my 2¢… I'm stepping down off my soapbox now.

I think the question was 'SHOULD' a speedo be worn. Not CAN a speedo be worn. Of course, a speedo CAN be worn. But almost every time, SHOULDN'T. Why? Because most speedo wearers don't have the body for it. Just like the saggy old woman wearing a bikini, a saggy old man should save his speedos for the bedroom. If that's his thing.

I disagree. Drawing lines and stifling others based on what you say is visually unappealing shouldn't be at play here. Where is that 'line'?

My fellow Americans need to be more accepting of others.

I don't have a perfect body by any means.... I got a belly too, you can see by this pic... Does this mean I shouldn't wear this then?

In my opinion, that makes you appear desperate and foolish. It's not sexy in any way. But, if it makes you feel good about yourself, by all means, wear it. Just don't be offended when people react negatively.

What do you disagree with? It's your legal right to wear a Speedo in public. Just like it's my right, when asked, to make remarks about the appropriateness of an overweight wrinkled old man, desperate for attention. By all means,
wear that Speedo. We all need a good laugh.

too old or not slim enough for it?

Yes, and yes. It looks ridiculous. You are a handsome man, who doesn't need to make a fool of himself that way. I don't know what or who you would expect to attract by wearing that. A nice pair of square cut trunks would look great on you. Have some dignity.

so can't i wear that to get a nice tan?

Your tan will then look desperate. Cant you tan in sauare cut trunks? You need to ask yourself WHY you want to wear that. Would you wear it to the pool with your mother? What about wearing it around your grand children? Why would you subject strangers to that? It screams 'look a my penis'.

Your "bulge" style is way too extreme for me, but that is no reason for you not to wear them. When I myself have to wear a suit, I prefer the bulge to be more subdued, but that is simply my preference. I prefer not to wear a suit, but that is not always a reasonable thing to do.

There should be beaches at which complete nudity is permitted, and they should not be so few in number that one has to travel unreasonable distances to get to one. They should be well enough marked so that people who are disturbed by nudity can conveniently avoid it. There should also be beaches where suits are required. The important thing is mutual consideration and respect.

Ukman... that's not a speedo, that's a pair of posing trunks.

Get an actual Speedo with a much fuller cut and you can show a much more people friendly bulge. When we are bulging... we must have our package FLAT against our body.

That pair of trunks you are wearing projects the package outward like you want to knock stuff off of tables and poke 3 year olds in the face.

Why is anyone trying to 'show a bulge'. Are people really that shallow, that they are purposefully trying to make others take notice of their penis? In public? Is this what we have come to?

Do any of you understand that children might be present at a public beach? Or, a LOT of ordinary people, who don't WANT to see your penis? What if your daughter was subjected to this sight, while trying to enjoy a day at the beach. Or, your mother.

Does anyone think of these things? Or, as SO many of the posters have noted. . it is THEIR RIGHT to do so. Women show their breasts, so I CAN SHOW MY PENIS.

What a ridiculous situation this is. Others on the thread chalk it up to 'tan lines', others chalk it up to 'my suit gets wet'. . . others just say 'i can, so i will'. . .

Whatever your excuse, gentlemen. You look foolish, and desperate, and you need to be told so. Often enough that you stop.

In general, I agree with you. However, I firmly believe that there should be beaches at which we can be nude if we so desire. They surely could be properly marked so those wishing to avoid them could do so. Also, I think that children would be the least likely to be upset or affected by them.

What?!?!? Men have to tuck their penises like a trans when wearing tight clothing to satisfy your Victorian body standards?

Penises are just a reality... you can act like they only exist in locker rooms, truck stops, strip clubs, doctor's offices, porn and the bedroom but they are really everywhere at all times.

Do any of you understand that children might be present at a public beach? Or, a LOT of ordinary people, who don't WANT to see your penis? What if your daughter was subjected to this sight, while trying to enjoy a day at the beach. Or, your mother.

Should children be taught to feel shame about their bodies and fetishize frontal male nudity? Are you sure that children are staring at penises and have some sort of mental framing that is associated with an outline of a penis? I grew up in the 70s and 80s where bulges were EVERYWHERE... I don't remember seeing any as a child... do you know why?

I was a fucking child and didn't give a shit about cock outlines or pointing out every single bulge I saw out in public. I must have seen hundreds and can't remember even ONE.

My daughter and Mother have seen penises and are feminists. They are aware of the double standard of female and male sexuality. They aren't fooled by Puritanical throwbacks like you into feeling shame when seeing a penis.

It's my body... you have one too... you can choose to do whatever you want with it. It's not like I wear a lime green mankini but if I want to wear a dark colored pair of tight slacks or black compression shorts when I exercise, I don't give a fuck what other people think. I flat out don't think there are enough bulges out there just on principle alone.

Whatever your excuse, gentlemen. You look foolish, and desperate, and you need to be told so. Often enough that you stop.

You should be ashamed of yourself being a member of a "big dick site" while simultaneously taking it upon yourself to admonish other men that are not embarrassed of their bodies.

You're a hypocritical piece of shit.

There is a difference between being embarrassed by one's body and wearing clothing that makes the penis stand out excessively conspicuously. Certainly it is not improper if a bathing suit reveals one's package, but wearing one specifically designed to emphasize it is an entirely different matter. Exactly where to draw the line is a grey area where there will be differing opinions.

Being nude isn't a problem either if it is at a place where nudity is expected, such as in a locker room or beach that is either legally or defacto nude. And, I would agree that there should be more places where nudity is permitted.

Well, that's where you and I agree. The problem is the line of "standing out conspicuously". I draw the line where the penis should be flat against the body like rowers, cyclists or '70s rock stars... I also don't think the balls and penis should be separated and in one lump of a bulge.

Being nude isn't a problem either if it is at a place where nudity is expected, such as in a locker room or beach that is either legally or defacto nude. And, I would agree that there should be more places where nudity is permitted.

I am actually not into nudity, so nudists are just not my thing.

I do however, LOVE looking at women in tight clothing because I dig the contours and outlines of the female body... every inch of it. I don't feel funny when viewing the female body but skin? Baring skin is just not my thing... I like one pieces as opposed to two pieces.

I don't know how any straight man would get upset when viewing the contours and outlines of the female body when wearing tight clothing.

I used to bodybuild so the contours and outlines of the male body don't bother me either... dick outlines, bulges... it's ALL good.

I giggle inside a bit when seeing men in running tights since they look like extras from a Shakespeare play... but I also wish I was a runner and had that kind of nerve as well.

But yeah, I totally support nudist's right to be nude even though I'm more of a tight clothing sort of a guy... can't have a double standard.

I'm not sure that a speedo is appropriate as it could come off on a slide or something... However I wouldn't hesitate wearing my swimming jammers there and it doesn't do much if anything at all to hide my very large package. I agree that there is a serious double standard in the US and that is wrong.
