Speedos, Bulges: the Evidence

We were at a big Fourth of July pool party where 10 or 12 of the young guys (late teens, early 20s) were wearing Speedos.

I did some field research by surveying a demographical cross section of the ladies and came up with the following results:

Yuck.

Comments recorded included, "They must be doing that on purpose to make themselves look as ridiculous as possible."
"Please don't wear one of those when you get older." (said to my son)
"A couple of those guys need to tuck themselves in better."
"We don't need to see that."

Thus, we have proof. 100% of women surveyed don't want to see men in Speedos and don't want to see bulges in public. :lmao:

I was in France last month, been at several pools almost every day: young and old are only allowed to use the swimmingpool when wearing tight swimshorts or speedos. It is very normal in Europe. Why is it such a big problem for Americans? Is every woman wearing a bikini or tight swimsuit nice to see????? I have seen a lot of ugly people, does that mean that swimmingpools are only available for the onces that looks sexy?

Only reason I can think of why Ameriacans are so prude when it comes to speedos is because the American people are becoming the fattest in the whole world.

Like, when my wife and I watch Olympic swimming she comments they should cover up more. (and she's far from prudish....)

My nephew is nine. He asked for a speedo because he gets very tan in the summer and he didn't like the tan-lines that were down to his knees from what is offered in shorts these days.
I see no problem with speedo style bathing suit and I think we in the United States need to be more liberal in what we allow for clothing.

You also cant compare breasts to the penis, or bikini's to speedo's. Compare a speedo to a thong (microkini) bikini and you would maybe get the same outcry.

You dont necessarily have to cover up in wide shorts, just dont get the most revealing outfit possible and not try to tuck your junk.

America is in denial that men have a penis. If it were socially acceptable for American men to wear a brief/trunk type swimwear, then they would have to accept the fact that men have a penis.

Frankly, society needs to change. I *hate* going in the lake/pool and having the drag of swim shorts dragging me down...however, I'm not about to be the odd man out. So, I suffer.

I'd say get the networks to quit "bluring" out bulges and then we'll be the judge of too revealing.

I'd like to see them opaque some women's breasts. Turn about is fair play.

I think a lot of the problem with attitudes about sex is because sex is such a valuable commodity. As long as sex is "dirty" or "sinful" or "naughty" the media and clothing companies make incredible profits from it. The media, from porn to MSM, rarely, if ever, show normal, natural, healthy sexual relationships. If I were a porn mogul I'd be dumping money on social conservative organizations so they maintain people's outrage and their consequent addiction to "guilty pleasures."

And when practically all Americans associate naked men with "dirty" sex, of course the first thing they're going to think of when they see a man in a Speedo is naughty sex.

Seriously, when 99% of men cover up as much as practical in locker rooms because they're prudes, then spend hours surfing porn, something's wrong.

I say fuck everyone else... I LOVE my speedos and box cuts. I don't want a tan that starts at my knee and I think a white bubble ass from wearing a speedo is HOT! If people do not like them...they don't have to look. I will agree...some of the see thru ones and strings are a bit over the top...but most everything else is fine. *I just bought 5 new ones for this year*
