There is a spell check button on our post. When you click it you are invited to download a software. After that I don't know how to use it.

If I knew how, I would spell check every post. But I don't know how to use this feature.

If someone knows, please come forward and tell us, particularly me, in very simple English. Assume I am slightly not bright 10 year old. I have trouble with technology sometimes.

All the below AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Click on the abc spellcheck link, download the software, install it and voila! When running it should look rather like the attached...:biggrin1:

P.S. Interestingly, the spellcheck 'tick' seems to be missing in Mozilla!

This will ruin everything. Sneering at spelling mistakes is practically blood sport 'round here.

I've heard that god hates people who can't spell, it's a sign of selfishness and disrespect to Him, and He sends them to hell without a second thought.

Most spell checks don't spot the wrong word usage sucha s there for their.

My problem is that I downloaded the software or thought I did and nothing happened. The ABC function still didn't work.

    I will try again.

Freddie, you probably have to find out where it is saved on your computer and open it up- I used to run into that problem all the time. Downloading something is only the first step. If you can't find it, you may have to download it again, and pay attention to where it's being saved. Usually if you have a "my downloads" file, it will go there. Check under "my computer" on your screen.

Spellcheck would catch "thier" rather than "their", or "theyr'e". The vast majority of mistakes, spelling, left out words, etc., could be taken care of if the poster would simply re-read before submitting. But, that would be expecting too much from people who are in such a hurry to have the last word... Gotta run now!

Gargh! Those PC people are always leaving us Macers out of the fold. I NEED a spell checker! I can't spell correctly to save my soul!

    *sigh*

I'll just have to wait for the Mac version to come out three or four years down the road.

    *sigh*

I made a discovery today. I have the Google toolbar on my computer. It has a spell check. If you have Google toolbar then the spell check is close to the center of the bar. Just click on it and bingo the spell check begins. You don't have to download anything except the Google tool bar.

And I have had Google tool bar for a while, I just never looked at it until today.
