Scotch bonnets, five alarm Texas Chili, Sichuan chili paste, no problem. The ridiculous Phaal curry, I can do/enjoy, but oh my, I just had some Bhut Jolokia, and I think that my brain has been altered.
Awwwwww, ya haven't lived until Kung Pao Chicken... ye must eats the long wee peppers, if they leave em in for ye. MWHAHAHAHAA!!! I eats em during me meal to make it spicier. )~
I be part jalapeno in me blood. Though the hottest food stuffs I ate was under a dare. To wipe me tongue with bats blood from a tooth pick and not drink anything.
I like spicy food as well. However, I don't know if I can handle ghost peppers. I tried chipotle in adobo with the seeds and I was beginning to think I burnt my taste buds off my tongue.
Had a nice vegetarian red curry tonight from the local Thai place. Probably a two-star on the heat level, but it had huge slices of hot green pepper in it, with the seeds.
Had Kung pao chicken the other day at our department outing for work. Must say I should have went for the top and had it full spice. I went with medium. It was sooo dlishhhh.
My employer has an EPA department that's been holding farmers markets and I bought some salsa with habanero juice in it. Was very good but not hot enough.
I love jalapeños in or on many things also. It's the Mexican in me.
Serrano and jalapeno peppers are what I use at home when I want a fiery kick. I don't go beyond those types of chiles.
A place named New Century Buffet in El Cajon has this hot chile relish that is way hotter than serranos. I eat it on spring rolls. My head sweats, my face gets red, and my mouth is on fire, but I can't stop eating it!
