Sorry it's taken me a couple of days, but have been busy doing other things.

(Rules of Spotlight.
1. After 24 hours it's over and done. Try to be as prompt as you can and get the next Spotlight up within the 24 hour timelimit.

2. One Spotlight at at time. (Unless you're MickeyLee)

3. Play nice, this isn't running for public office.. sex scandals can only be mentioned in a complimentary fashion. example: "excellent cinematography in your night vision sex tape" or "the musical score really added an emotional depth one doesn't usually find in camera phone porn"

3. After 24 hours Mr/Ms Spotlight passes the torch, otherwise it gets old. Starts a new thread introducing the newest Person o' Interest and Infamy. Explain all the rules and so on.)

Well a new person, a new day... I love it. I've got some questions,

Have you ever committed a crime of any sort?

How long does it take you to get your morning routine completed?

Would you ever consider growing your hair long or piercing something other than your ear?

What's your biggest guilty pleasure?

Who was your role model as a child?

Can you do anything rather unique?

What's your take on religion?

Have you ever dated a drag queen?

Why is it that it's hard to not pop your head when there is a good song on the radio?

Have you ever committed a crime of any sort? Yes

How long does it take you to get your morning routine completed? A minimum of an hour, but I'm my own boss so I decide when I go in to work and normally I take about 2 hours to come to life.

Would you ever consider growing your hair long or piercing something other than your ear? I used to have my left eyebrow pierced, it looked cute, but piercings are a bit passe so I took it out a few years ago, the hole is all healed now. I wouldn't have another piercing. My hair is crazy it's all King Charles ringlets, and would look like a periwig if I really grew it long, so no I wouldn't grow it too long.

What's your biggest guilty pleasure? Overeating.

Who was your role model as a child? I don't recall having any specific role models as a child.

Can you do anything rather unique? I can knit my toes, a bit like knitting ones hands together where you interweave your fingers

What's your take on religion? Simple really, I think it's pointless at best and toxic at worst.

Have you ever dated a drag queen? Yes

Why is it that it's hard to not pop your head when there is a good song on the radio? I don't know but this is normally only a problem for people with rhythm and who like music, my tone deaf friend James would hardly notice music was even playing let along bob his head along to it :biggrin1:

Which language do you consider the most beautiful? The ugliest?
Horror or comedy?
Dangerous or safe?
Night in or night out? Or night out resulting in a night in?

Thanks BB, Look at me I'm a postwhore

Do you have any fears/phobias? Erm, my main ones are the passing of time and spiders, I'm reduced to a quivering sweating wild eyed mess by spiders.
For which do you feel more of an affinity: the Welsh or the Irish? Irish I suppose, despite being half welsh I've never lived there or wanted to.

Favourite dish? Dessert? Flick? Actor (m/f)? (Limit your answer to one. Kimchi, Eve's pudding, I can't answer that one too many, Betty Davis/Vincent Price.

Where in the world would you most like to see? To live? See- Iran, Live-Rome

What's worse in a partner: financial or [within reason] mental instability? Mental instability, a guy can always get a better job, he might never be able to manage his mental issues.

What quality do you value most in a person? In yourself? Uniqueness, and the same.

Do your bite nails? If so, do you also pick your ass? *snickers* Nope, I did briefly as a teenager, but I got bored with it quick.

Which language do you consider the most beautiful? The ugliest? Most beautiful- Mongol, Most ugly- French

Horror or comedy? Horror, I make myself laugh and I find everything funny.

Dangerous or safe? Dangrous

Night in or night out? Or night out resulting in a night in? Night out resulting in a nightin

Preferred medium (media)? Precious materials.

Congrats on your 1000th post not too long ago .

Ciao bello Jason

  1. What is your preferred artistic medium? Precious materials, especially rhodium and pearls.
  2. Where in the world outside of Ireland have you traveled? the US, Peru, France, the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, Tunisia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and a few other places I can't recall right now. In most cases except the US I've explored them either fairly extensively or pretty widely and/or have visited them repeatedly over the years. The only reason I work is to travel. I'm off to Japan on the 30th of this month, I cannot wait!!!
  3. What is your favorite gem stone? Grey or Peacock Pearls
  4. What is your favorite color? Green
  5. Which three historical dead people would you invite to a dinner party? Machiavelli, Xenobia of Palmyra, Patroclus (Alexander the great's bit of fluff)
  6. What is your favorite dish? (oh balls! Discontentboy ) Kimchi
  7. Why on earth do you hang out here? I like the people I've met around here and it's fun
  8. Dogs or cats? Both, but cats if you force me to choose
  9. What makes you laugh? Everything, but especially appalling and horrendous things.

Which Irish stereotype is most true? Which is least true? Most true- how much people drink here, it's actually scary sometimes. Least true- RC piety, it's long dead now.

If we were out at a fine restaurant, what would we be eating? Drinking? Caviar ( I adore it ) and vintage pink ( or blanc de blancs ) Taitinger or perhaps a Chateau Ay

Guilty pleasure list: below is the list right ?

actor Matt Damon
food Crisps, or chips as you Yanks call them
song "Oh yes sir I can boogey"
slang term It's a Dublin one, "Ask me snatch":tongue::tongue: It's so rude.

Thanks, Love!

You're more than welcome sweetheart

I know  And if you recall I was most enthusiastic for a Dublin meet-and-greet...:wink:

Very much so. I hope we can get a good group. Do you think it would go over well there? Nick8 ran into so much apprehension in London and while it had a decent turnout, I was hoping more would show. What would we need to do?

Er, reply in PM. I don't mean to hijack this thread. Sorry!!

K8 said it was "typical British reticence" and I suppose she'd know. But being from Boston, I know we can always count on the Irish.

So, hilaire, how did you get so cute and intelligent?

Hilaire, I'm going to assume your transplantation to Ireland has taken. (I'll assume you're on cyclosporine.)

My mom's maternal grandparents were Irish. Does this mean we will meet in heaven, you and I?

Do you really expect us to believe kimchi is your favourite dish?
(I mean, man ... get serious.:crackhead:) Or do you eat it for the air biscuits?

Do you like Sean O'Feaney's movies?

Do you like "the wine of Ireland"?

I hear County Cock is the largest county in Ireland. Is this true?

Even before seeing yer gallery, I'd heard yer lad plays the meanest harp in Dublin. Would this be true?

And why would a cute hoor like you be having the name Hilaire anyway?

Why do you like living where you live?
If you could live anywhere in the world what would be your first choice?
What is your idea of a perfect evening?
What is the last book you read?
Are you doing anything special for the Holiday Season?
If you were stranded on a desert island...what is the one thing you could not do witih out?
What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
What is the last thing you do before you go to sleeP?
What is the first thing you notice when you meet someone new?
What is your favorite time of the day?
What words or phrase do you most overuse?
What do you smell of right now?
