I'm in Buffalo. There's been some amount of snow on the ground since late December. On the "warm" days above freezing, it melts away somewhat from the sidewalks, but the grass has been completely covered...until the last couple of days. Just about every night there's another dusting of snow to more than cover whatever melted during the previous day. Here's a pic of the end of my street a couple weeks ago. That's how it's looked all winter, and how it still looks now. At least I'm almost through my first of two Buffalo winters (though everyone is telling me this one was mild...ugh). Then back to Long Island, where snow rarely remains on the ground between snowfalls (except, maybe, for this winter, from what my friends tell me). Two years of winter there, then I'm most likely heading to Florida. Enough is enough!
