Little greens are sprouting up, the wind is kicking our ass, and it's warming up outside in my neck of the woods.

Time to start my garden and get to building our back-porch!! We have a sliding glass door and there wasn't a badass sitting area outside. We makin' that shit happen this year. The frame is already done, just gotta put the wood down and add railing. I have so many potted plants I can put out there too!

I love the changing seasons, spring and autumn are equally wonderful. Except the wind in spring, but it doesn't usually last the entire season.

Happy spring everyone!

I love spring, easily my favourite season. There's something gorgeous about the smells, sights and colours of the world coming back to life.

Having said that we had an unseasonably warm spell a week and a half ago. 20°C (68°F) is not normal for northern Europe in late February. I found that a bit unsettling, the weather is so unpredictable these days.

Spring is definitely on its way. All these Robins bob bob bobbin' along in my yard. It seems like they are everywhere now. Don't remember seeing them last week.

We love the spring! Looove the spring. Little Katy Tur loves the spring, right Katy? She can finally get out of her snowsuit!

Seriously, my all-time favorite spring happened about 30 years ago. We had had really sloppy weather. Snow, ice, some melting, slush--everything and everyone was covered in gray, black, heavy salty icy slush. Even the car and bus and truck exhaust fumes seemed heavy with slush.

And then miraculously the sun geared up and the whole city exploded in bright green everywhere. That was spectac.

This is the one time of year where my yard looks bad. The back yard, especially, looks like complete ass. The grass hasn’t woken up yet, but there have been enough warm spurts and more than enough rain for all manner of weeds to run rampant. We had a couple of nights straight of sub-freezing temps not even 2 weeks ago, but I somehow still need to mow. WT actual F?
