If I ever catch the motherfucking sons of bitches who wrote this pox I will make them beg me to kill them. It is the rudest program I've ever encountered, and I've seen some lulus in my time.

"Spyware Guard 2008 is the one of the more recent malware that has appeared online lately. Spyware Guard 2008 acts as a legitimate antivirus application, but is in actuality a phony malware application. Spyware Guard 2008 detects spyware and other dangerous pc parasites, as a means to coerce users into purchasing the full version of this scamware. The claim is that upon purchasing, the malware will then remove “detected” threats. Spyware Guard 2008 infiltrates a system via network shares, and by also making use of Trojan horse applications, alternatively, Spyware Guard 2008 can also install itself manually from deceiving web-sites. Spyware Guard 2008 is deemed a threat to any PC, as it may damage the computer system, secretly install additional malware, may cause slow internet connection speed and is highly capable of disabling some Windows features."
In my entire life I have never wanted so badly to fuck somebody up.I have a fucking recording sedtup running on this computer and cannot record any music because of the POP this fucking thing sets off every 30 seconds. I can't even Skype right now because the fucking thing makes too much noise. I woke up this morning to find this schmendrik had installed itself on my machine while I slept. I wanna beat somebody's ass.

Dumb people don't know how to protect themselves and are punished accordingly, smart people do know how to protect themselves and are rewarded accordingly. Where's the problem?

So, are you saying that I got what I deserved? Funny, a lot of rapists and gay-bashers say the same thing. When you grow up you'll understand that things are more complex than that.

Arrogant people believe the world owes them something and that they should be allowed to puke up the contents of their vacuous heads and nobody should be offended.

Your words are too often gratuitously destructive. Learn when to shut up. Your opinions are not so precious that everybody else wants to hear them, contrary to what your mom may have told you. They might sometimes be best kept to yourself.

BTW, I don't know what motivates your antipathy toward me. Maybe it's because you're too young to understand that although you may be dazzled by someone, they can still lie to you about others. But then, most presumptions arise from ignorance, so why would you and your little cabal of two be any different?

Let's make a deal: You don't insult my intelligence and I won't say anything about your wet-behind-the-ears pompousness.

Didn't you learn that its better to be quiet and have people suspect that you are stupid then to actually open your mouth and confirm that you are stupid?

So anyway I assume its not in the ADD REMOVE options in control panel?
Do you have a NORTON or Mcaffe install program that might take it out?
Or you wanna hunt down some programming nerds and make them suffer? Thats always a much better option....

Sorry to hear this. First remove the program from your computer. Then go to Download.Com. This is a very trusted site with free ant- virus programs. Some very good programs to look for are Avg 8.0 and many more. Malwarebytes is about the best out there right now. Do a search for this. This is free as are many others. Norton and the like are just garbage and do nothing and are a waste of money. I have about 6 different spyware and ant-virus programs on my computer. You can have as many as you want. However only run one at a time. Every member on here should go to Download.com and get free protection. I have been using this site for years. Get Malwarebytes. Run it and you will be as good as new in no time at all. If you have any questions get in touch with me. Im here.

This program is deceiving. I'm not sure how it gets it done, but once it is in there, you can forget add programs delete programs etc. I have forgotten how I finally got rid of it. It was like a circle. I would try to remove it and it would appear again. It was that "let us run a scan and see what we find and let you know and then the only choice to get out of the program is to buy it.

Hickboy is correct. It is positively the worst. I hope Norton has it targeted now so I don't every have to deal with them again.

Literally, It Was Hell!!! I was completely SHUT DOWN for a while.

You make a good point. NEVER trust a site offering a free scan. Download.com is a trusted site (virus free) that everyone should check out. They have many free programs that are great.

Then again this comment is proof some people, intelligent or otherwise, do not always know enough to wipe the shit off their assholes before using it as a mouth piece!!

    Get over yourself.

PC Pitstop: Free PC Scans and Tune-up Utilities free performance scans and some great software as well. (Reputable! The site installs a small applet you can remove later in order to run the scan.) I have used this site for years, no problems.

Antivirus & Content Security Software | Securing Your Web World - Trend Micro USA great site as well. I believe they still offer free scans. This is a quality site.

    good luck Hickboy.

So Hickboy, wanna tell us a bit about how you managed it, first place I look is in the registry.

do not attempt to go to any address or site listed below

This rogue anti-spyware currently lives in spywareguard2008.com. Spywareguard2008.com has the IP 67.19.176.187 hosted by bb.b0.1343.static.theplanet.com. The domain name appears to be registered by MAMBA on 26-Aug-2008 and the registrant details are protected by Protect Details, Inc out of Saint Petersburg, Russia. This IP is shared with Porn-movies-online.net, notorious for pushing fake video codecs. This IP is also used as a nameserver for pyroscanner.com.

I downloaded Malwarebytes from Malwarebytes.org and ran it. I had to run it twice for it to get everything it's capable of doing, but it cleaned up a lot of stuff that Spyware Guard 2008 had let in. The freeware version does everything the $24.95 version will do except scheduling. Running it manually is not difficult at all.
