Just out of curiosity, do people here side with the players, the young girl, or blame them equally?


NZ/Au (actually more so Aussie) over the last few years have had a LOT of these sorts of happenings going on, regarding Rugby Leauge and AFL Players.
Even Cricket is not exempt, Shane Warne fr eg, altho he brings it all on himself.

Personally i would suggest the majority of folk this part of the world would likely be in symapthy with ... the players.

I know this hasn't rated as a big story overseas (where they don't understand the cultural importance of Aussie Rules), but this is a big and emerging story that I think will ultimately be more about gay players in the AFL than it is about these particular nude pics.

To put it in some kind of perspective, the "official" line about gays in football makes "don't ask don't tell" sound like a socially liberal policy of inclusiveness!

I thought Dal Santo wasn't cut from that picture, for years Aussie Rules players have tended to be cut, from my experience playing and being in change rooms you would maybe see 2 or 3 uncut to 20-30 being cut.

Well I can only speak for myself here:

I don't have any sympathy for ANY of the people involved - neither the players nor the schoolgirl.

I have no sympathy for her because she is coming across as a very immature 17 year-old desperate for attention. She had accused some players of alleged sexual misconduct* earlier this year - the players were cleared. She had stolen the photos from a player's computer so even though she appears to be telling some porkies, the players do seem to know who she is and as she had access to the player and his computer, she must have been hanging around with them - and that is why I have no sympathy for the players: these dunderheads are GROWN MEN! What the hell are they doing hanging out with immature 16 year old girls!

*I say misconduct but she had been a willing participant - the accusation was that she fell pregnant to one of the players when she was 16.
