I must admit to being surprised, being that we just had a grand old time at the bar and talked about all things musical, gay and straight, that there weren't any threads on this site about the music and culture of Ireland - so I'll start one.

I know some of you love music, as I do, and might know the following songs. Some are more "drinking songs", some are more folk, all have to do with Ireland or, in my case, Nova Scotia, so a great mix of all things Celtic. Great drinking songs, perfect for St. Patrick's Day. Some are Irish, some less. If you know these songs and love them, hit me up. This is what we were singing tonight.

    The Rocky Road to Dublin
    Danny Boy
    Farewell to Nova Scotia
    Home for a Rest
    Barrett's Privateers
The Night that Paddy Murphy Died
    Heave Away
    Wild Rover
    Loch Lomond
    Peter Street
    The Old Black Rum
    Tell My Ma
    There were Roses
    Raggle Taggle Gypsy
    The Drunken Sailor
    The Parting Glass
    Whiskey in the Jar

    Cheers
    S
