It is dangerous to pump without a pressure gage.
It sounds like you did not have a pressuge gage,
or you pumped at too high a pressure...or pumped for
too long a time, or both.
This will cause discoloration.

You should not pump over 5Hg, unless you know what you are doing
and have been pumping for a long time. I pump at 3Hg to 5Hg only
and I have been pumping for over a year.

If you have not pumped for a month and your glans are still black,
l would immediately go to a doctor for an examination.
If the blood is cut off to that area, you might have a bigger problem
than just black spots.
