Go Padres. That is all. :biggrin1:
There's a handful of sexy players on the Padres this year
Fixed that for ya.
Vamonos Los Gigantes!
Phillies in the Series and WS champs once more. :biggrin1:
Must be quite difficult to cheer for a team that can piss away money
The Yankees will take the series in game 6.
Go Padres...And also love the Angels. And let's be real...Angels can go all the way this year.
Red sox !!!!
Giants took one from the Dodgers today: 9-0. I love it.
Couldn't care less. I wouldn't miss pro baseball if it went the way of the dodo.
It took 20 innings, some 7 hours, for the Mets to finally win in a 2-1 victory over St.Louis. It wasn't until the 19th that either team actually got a run; by which time, I'd ceased listening. In the top the Mets got on the board, and then in the bottom of the inning the Cards tied it up. Mercifully, Casey Stengel's ghost was watching and kept the Cards from getting another run and dragging everyone into a 21st inning.
They play late today, so there'll be plenty of rest. I'd dread thinking how both teams would fair today if they'd had a night game yesterday and an afternoon today (or even worse, the later in the season double-headers after a long game).
And of course, the Yankees won yesterday.
I already have have a doomed feeling about the Mets season -_-
Major League Baseball needs to copy the NFL and adopt a hard salary cap, and more adequate revenue sharing.
and lower ticket prices (which could be achieved with a salary cap).
Padres went having one of the higher FCIs (Fan Cost Index) in the league to one of the lowest this year. Supposedly it dropped roughly 30%. They now have $5 beers. WOOHOO! :biggrin1:
