Starting On Prep

I am going to start on PreP this week. Got my prescription yesterday. My question is this: how have people reacted to the medication? Any weird side effects that I should watch for? Anything that could potentially be serious?

I've been on mine for 6 months now. No side effects as far as I can tell. My Dr did say that it might affect my bone density so I'm also taking calcium/vit D supplement alongside the truvada.

Nice!! I’m a bit leery of calcium supplements as I have heart disease so I’m hoping that doesn’t become an issue for me. But I’m not leery of the barebacking!!!

Yea I would check with your provider before taking any additional supplement in addition to the prep. But good luck and godspeed (on the bb).

I've been on Descovy for over a year and don't have a single issue.

I’ve been on descovy for like 6 months and I side effects...I was worried about experiencing the side effects (especially the nightmares), but i got lucky.

I am on Descovy and I had diarrhea when I started but that subsided. I do have weird dreams still.
