Here comes the obligatory "counter response"... so petty.

Seriously, can we outlaw the State of the Union?

course the networks are only going to stream it at best on their website by tomorrow AM.

Now it's just clinking...

Oh shit... he's doing the "73 yr old woman in Iowa who _________________"

Those stories irritate me... they were parodied by Geena Davis when she won an award for "Commander in Chief." She started telling a story about a little girl who came up to her and told her that after watching the show, she wanted to be president.... then Geena shrugged and said she just made it up. It's how I feel about most of those stories.

I'm sure that I will probably regret posting this, but for the first time, I am thinking that he is probably a puppet. It looks like he is in pain delivering this speech in which everyone knows is complete rhetoric and propoganda.

I don't think Obama believes in this agenda that he is being asked to push and promote.

Its like he's the patsy for this, and because he has charisma he was chosen to sell this agenda. And he is a far cry from the presenter he was a short year ago.

Wasn't that what Gdub was?

Wow. I dont know- I thought it was a decent enough speech. Made for some ready-made DNC commercials- especially the moment when he called for fees on banks, and the GOP side stayed sitting. Starinvestor- maybe you could turn off Faux News for a bit?

The GOP idea of bipartisanship is that the Dems should go along with whatever the GOP wants. Sorry folks, that aint how it works, and it's high time the Democrats realize that. Start ramming stuff down their throats. The GOP got a helluva lot more done with a lot smaller majorities than the Democrats currently enjoy

Actually, I'm still on CBS. Watching, probably the next GOP presidential candidate for 2012, Bob McDonnell.

Watch out for this guy, buddy.

And I'm thinking that John Thune will contend for that nomination. None of that matters if Palin runs. The Tea Bag base is so stupid that they'll vote for her. God help us all.

Palin isn't even a consideration. The religious right loves her. That's it. It's like the ACORN contingency of the left - they don't make the call on anything. They just follow the crowd like the sheep that they are.

I really can't see enough of the GOP accepting her to win the party leadership. I bet that she'll run as an independent... despite her feigning disinterest in politics for the past year.

We ain't buying it, Sarah.

rex2000, she really doesnt have to win the GOP- she just has to win the first few primaries- at which point her campaign becomes a snowball, one whose momentum will be hard to stop. This is exactly how Obama wrested the nomination from Hillary

BTW, your sig is stupid. How do we prove that the guy/girl is a terrorist?

If he/she is linked to Yemen and Al Queda and travels via air to the US sans baggage and tries to incinerate 300 innocent people on an aircraft...he/she is a terrorist.

Just so there's no confusion.

I was just glad Obama showed up with his balls. I think that was the most 'fierce' speech I've ever seen him make. He re-reminded me of why I voted for him in the first place. On a side note....

Why are the Republicans so hell bent on the total failure of Obama and the rest of the Democratically held congress? I mean, do they not get it that if they fail, the country is essentually flushed down the crapper? In my mind, failure of the president/congress=failure of the country. Am I the only person who gets this?

I think I'm going to start a new thread on this.
