You sure about that? You better hope and pray that you're right. BTW- what the hell is the ACORN contingency? I dont get it. The Dems have no liberal equivlent to the Tea Baggers

Haha...really?

How about the people that live in the ghetto that don't even follow politics or the candidates, but are herded to the polls and blackmailed with packs of cigarettes by ACORN?

'Here is a pack of cigs, and just walk in there an pull these levers.'

At least the religious right has an opinion. The ACORN people don't have an opinion or a thought. But they get a pack of cigs for a vote.

The tea party people are, by and large, a highly educated group of business owners and leaders of society. MSNBC will show you footage from Hazard, Kentucky. But in the real world, your boss is at the tea party.

LOL. So for the last hour or so you jokers had nothing better to do but snip and snipe at Obama over various picayunes?? (Shit!) Twitter broken or something?

I think he (Obama) right fairly told the opposition off, the trifling bastards.

Oh, I dont disagree, but why cant we have a trial. You afraid? It's not always clear cut. But, I guess youre right- the government never falsely accuses ANYONE of a crime.

Nevermind. I'm not going down this futile road. If you are suggesting that Abdulmutallab is falsely accused I have no interest in responding to anything else.

Good nite.

Wow.

Like watching a one-time great boxer get pummeled by a nobody. Slumped over, no confidence, and pity from the crowd.

My how the mighty fall.

Admit it, hater. You're just mad he didn't speak in "negro dialect".
It was a good speech, as we all know that Obama can deliver them. Now, let's see what happens these next few months.

vinyl boy, it was much more than a good speech. Clearly, you are not old enough to have a sense of history or what past presidents DIDNT DO in their first year.
Barack Obama has literally turned this nation around from a rapidly declining pseudo Roman empire to a nation in recovery. W

A good speech, in terms of oration. Problem is... the campaign is over... it's been a year already to govern. Govern first, then change.

Fix social security, then I'll consider your fucked up socialized nationalized health care. Otherwise, I don't want to hear shit about the government running ANYTHING better than the private sector, much less the deplorable thought of mandating.

I'll read the summaries tomorrow, but my guess/hope is this smug a-hole is humbled, and will get back to running the country, vs. changing it.

State of the union is fine... but please slow down on the PR, and for once, turn off the damn teleprompters and speak from the heart, vs the PR machine. I can respect someone's opinions much more when they aren't vetted through polls and script. Right or wrong.

Palin isn't even a consideration. The religious right loves her. That's it. It's like the ACORN contingency of the left - they don't make the call on anything. They just follow the crowd like the sheep that they are.
The lunatic fringe(which is a large part of today's Republican Party) loves Sarah Palin(shows you the level of intelligence there).

What can you say about a group that has a lot of members who proudly stated that they chose who to vote for by picking the one they'd like to have a drink with. What happened to voting for the best/smartest person? Is this a country or freakin' high school?

The lunatic fringe(which is a large part of today's "progressives") HATES Sarah Palin(shows you the level of intelligence here).

Corrected for accuracy. It's the gay mafia and birkenstock mafia that cares more about SARAH PALIN than any neo-con, threefold.

Just look at LPSG... you dipshits go livid when her daughter's high school basketball coach complains that she doesn't like to protect the paint. Then look for any/every crack in the pavement to lambast the neo-cons not holding up to their ideals.... the same ideals that your preach and live to... yet again... rip neo-cons when/if they don't live up to what you consider 'normalcy'.

Pa-lease... spare me the fucking hypocrisy. Visit San Francisco Bay Area — News, Sports, Business, Entertainment, Classifieds: SFGate and find any/every Sarah Palin article. The journalists are vehemently against her and then the mafias dogpile on the comments, with a mere whimper from the neocons you assume.

Reality check on that. Otherwise, she's on Fox News, and last I checked in these parts, that's irrelevant.. depsite 90% of the libtards here being experts on any/everything about Fox News... yet claiming they never watch it.

I swear, LPSG needs a "like" button.

and as of tonight, I'm guessing we're in close proximity... geographically.

problem is, I can still be friends with cruztbone... not guessing the opposite.

liberals:libertarians::muslims:non-muslims

one can't get over the differences...and act rational and calm despite polarity.

OMG... You're kidding me, right?
You do realize that I've been one of the few on this board who have put up with all of the nonsense and bullshit from the rabid opposition to point out that very fact!? Perhaps your eyes have been aging faster than your brain, preventing your ability to notice?

Sorry if I didn't use words like "AMAZING" or "EXTRAORDINARY" to express my feelings on the speech. I'm not going to grab the pom poms and start doing cartwheels over a State of the Union Address. My age has nothing to do with what I know about our Nation's history. How insane are you to even suggest that, purely based on my selection of adjectives?

Barack Obama has literally turned this nation around from a rapidly declining pseudo Roman empire to a nation in recovery. W

Even if I support Obama, I have to step and say that you're overreacting.
Things are starting to turn around gradually, and Obama should be given a substantial amount of credit for that. However, we still have a long way to go. The Stock Market is stabilizing, but the job situation & health care really needs to be addressed right now. I'm willing to give Obama and the current government the time to do the job and I'll remain as optimistic as I can as we move forward. HOWEVER, just as much as I tell the rabid conservatives to shut their traps when they complain about Obama not having everything done within his first year in office, I'll also tell you to GET REAL... we're not out of the dark yet.

The tea party people are, by and large, a highly educated group of business owners and leaders of society. MSNBC will show you footage from Hazard, Kentucky. But in the real world, your boss is at the tea party.

I live in Miami and we have a history of Republican campaign workers getting votes from people 20 years after they died and even multiple votes from one individual. And let's also look at the 2000 election in which the Republican Party managed to get thousands of voter's disenfranchised by claiming they were convicted felons even though they clearly weren't( many other means were also used). In the last election they even went so far as to call people and claim that election day had been moved to Weds(the day after).

Let's ignore their crimes and focus on a group that helps to increase inner city and minority voters. Could the problem the Republicans have with them be the fact that overwhelmingly blacks tend to vote Democratic? I recall that during the Mariel boatlift in the 70s the Republicans railed and complained that Carter was too soft allowing Castro to send all those Cubans to "our" country. Once those same Cubans began to register to vote as Republicans the tune certainly changed. I'm sure if ACORN were signing up new Republican voters they would be the darlings of the GOP.

Stop the phony outrage because no one's buying it!!
