I'm more concerned with my partner's reaction than anything else. For example it would be silly to explain to an underwhelmed lover that you are statistically 2" above average.
We get all caught up in the inches game, which you can't trust anyway. We see guys claiming to be 9" and I look at their gallery and unless their hands are 50% larger than mine they are lying... and for what?
The only thing that should really matter to you is what partners who have seen it and felt it have said, not that you can perform hari kari on yourself with a ruler so you can say you have an 8.5" peen.
I just think we (most of us anyway) haven't been being practical...
