Hey's ok....but i really hate these tattoos guys are getting on their lower abdomens. Its like male version of the 90s tramp stamp.

And yes...this remake was awful. It wasn't even LIVE. I mean what is the point of filming a stage play with film inserts, weird fade=out editing. Was a mess.

I made two (brief) attempts to watch this remake tonight and I lasted less than a few minutes each time. I found the acting to be disappointing and stiff. The remake totally lacks the spontaneity, excitement and impulsiveness of the actors in the the original. The actors in the remake seemed to lack the genuineness I saw in the original and they come across only as actors, not credible characters. Fox 21 should have let well enough alone and not messed with perfection, instead of totally destroying a beloved cult classic with such a poor remake.

I watched Rocky Horror earlier tonight and while I wasn't too thrilled by it, I didn't exactly hate the entire show either. The actors playing Brad and Rocky were among the best in the cast, for acting and singing (not to mention looks). Dismissing all the talk about genderfucking the role, I just didn't like Laverne Cox's portrayal. She seemed to be doing some strange vocal fry which I found annoying (or was it her real speaking voice?) as well as her singing sounding off in certain songs and not being dangerously sexy enough as Frank-N-Furter. Every one else was just "meh". Seemed like too many commercials too - I can't believe they cut the segue from "Don't Dream It" to "Wild and Untamed Thing", which is one of my favorite parts of the entire show.

There were a couple of good things. It was good at the start when the usherette was singing Science Fiction Double Feature that they showed posters of the films named in the song. Adam Lambert was good as Eddie, but should have been cast as Frank, not Laverne Cox who was atrocious. And lastly, Reeve Carney as Riff Raff was not a complete copy of Richard O'Brien, more an homage with a bit of his own interpretation added. But why make a new version but copy a large part of the old version, then dumb it down and sanitise it. Also what were they thinking to put Rocky in basketball shorts? Also Ryan McCartan (Brad) was pretty but annoying when he was laughing at the time he was supposed to be kissing Rocky. Staz was pretty too but not innocent as Rocky should be.

Agree completely. Don't mess with classics especially with such unnecessary changes in the characters. The 1975 version was a gem with all the right chemistry while the remake presented no chemistry whatsoever among the characters right down to the Time Warp dancers.

True. Fox tried too hard. and it's just a monstrous mess (for lack of a better description.) However, NBC got it right on the nose!
I've seen some bad community/school version of "Rocky" So, I'm already disappointed by the adverts. Regardless, I'll see it.
And to actually make this post relevant.
