Okay so I was at a VNV Nation concert at the Lime Light (aka Avalon) in NYC. I noticed a guy being told to stop waving around his arm in which he was holding one of these glowing orbs. Basically the more you shake/spin the thing the brighter it gets.

I was told this was something gay guys do, but personally I would be next to the guy shaking my glowing orb if I had one (and I'm not gay).

Any correlation, or just another myth.

Glowing orbs at a rave? More trippy than gay, IMHO. Think I'd join in too.

But chinese hand-fans on the disco floor? Now that was gay! And according to Wikipedia it evolved into flag-dancing, though I ain't seen that myself.

I think you've just answered you own question buddy. In the end, does it matter? What, were you afraid you'd get gay bashed if you stepped outside societal constraints? Sad sad sad. Shake your orb man.
