I give you Hate Filled Talk Radio. These people could provoke the perfect storm, that if they're successful, our President could give his life for. If this happens, there will be blood in the streets, blood in the streets I tell you. These people are irresponsible, at best, committing treason at worst.

We are outside the bounds of mere polical conversation now. These people are provoking baseless fears that just ONE "Patriotic American" could feel compelled to take action on. If this is what they are saying just 6 months into Obama's first term, what will they be saying in 6 more months? 2 Years?

The only fear they are provoking in me is concern over the President's safety.

The Two Minute Hate is an eye-opener for those who don't know just how much fear mongering and negative propaganda is being spun by the conservative base. MediaMatters For America creates a new one everyday, and give actual text to the dialogue so you can be sure of what's said.

Here are some doozies from just a few days ago:
"The brothers of liberals are Nazis, communists, socialists, and so forth" - Limbaugh
"(Obama) wants to pay people to kill some of us before we are born" - Limbaugh
"So don't tell me that our president isn't a socialist - he is a community organizer." - Beck
"...with liberals running this show, they count... you know... every abortion is a political victory for them." - Limbaugh

If they didn't actually mean to spread this garbage, these statements would be quite laughable.

I find it a little sad because they are ruining what a good republican party could be. I tend to lean towards the economic ideals of the conservative side more than what I see on the left side. On the other hand I think there needs to be some regulation, because one flaw of the free market model is people can fuck things up easily.

And more importantly I'd like a healthy republican party to counterbalance a healthy democrat party. When one strongly towers over the other it makes it way too easy for the bad ones to get in imo, I mean it is easy enough already, I don't want it to be worse.

Anyway, it is amazing what they say and that people actually believe it. With more freedom comes more risks, and while I'm not the one directly at risk from this talk, if I were the president, I would be proud to take that risk.

There is no healthy republican party. Hate mongers are the norm. If the people who are going to listen to you are 60+ you have an audience that is slowly dying out. Rush Limburg is a pile of crap, and every time I put him on, I hear a lie. No one seems to have the charisma to bring forth ideas in the republican format with smearing and lying and bullying and crapping on people.

Education is the only legitimate weapon that not only does not damage our freedoms, it improves humanity, imo. But it must be proper, not teacher instilling their own ideals into students, but providing them the tools to figure out things on their own.
