I just found some of my Fotos I've posted here, in a yahoo-album:

I think its ok to copy pics for private use, but not for making them public.
They should only be for this site and not for somewhere else. Isn't it possible to make it impossible to copy fotos from here? What would you say, if you would see your fotos somewhere else? This gal has not even asked me if he could use them for his album. I think thats not fair-play. What do you think?

Yea, i had a similar situation, in which my cock pics were in the LPSG "hall of fame" in the photo section without my permission. All I had to do was politely ask th mod......though he may be compelled to ask you for some proof that you are who you say you are. He initially tried with me, but relented because i guess we had a good rapport and he believed me.

Bigballal was a member of the old Yahoo LPSG site but I don't know if he's a member here now.

I've admired those collections of pics for quite a while, I think it's one of the best collections of big dicks on the net. It's clearly a celebration of guys with big dicks and intended for the enjoyment of others.

I don't see this instance as 'stealing', but more a case of 'collecting'. I think once someone has posted a pic here then it's deemed to be in the public domain. As far as I'm aware there are no copyright notices here saying that pictures shouldn't be reproduced without the owners permission.

As Pappy knows from my correspondence with him, I am very against people stealing images and claiming them as their own, and have pleaded with guys to add some unique identifier to their pictures to reduce the risk, but I don't see that in this instance. As others have said, the owner of the pics was acknowledged and, from the spirit of the site, even celebrated for being a special guy.

I don't know Al and have never chatted with him, but it seems to me that he is a fan doing a great job of collecting images of hung guys for the enjoyment of others. I doubt very much if he even intended to offend or embarrass anyone and I'm sure he'd remove your images if requested.

Yes, it's collecting, rather than stealing/misrepresenting. Still, there's a common courtesy among civil people to actually ask permission to use -- regardless how -- that which isn't yours.

"Public domain" is a legal heading used for works that become free to use and have no copyright. Currently, any work that is created by an individual after 1977 has an automatic international copyright term of the creator's life plus 70 years. The work doesn't need to be formally registered. Photography almost never falls within the 'fair use' clause.

Posting pictures does not automatically convey public domain status unless explicitly granted by the creator.

This is obviously very difficult to enforce in this context. I've also had my photos used in commercial and free sites without my permission. I typically request the owner to remove them.

Holy Crap! I had no idea this discussion was here...

#1, I'm taking off the offending photos right now. Honestly, it's basically just a collection for myself and I don't want anyone angry at me.

#2, My profiles clearly state that none of the pictures are me.

#3, I'm a man, but I think Dominik20 meant the "she" to imply that I'm a bitchy, swishy queen (which I'm not). The "she" a gay thing - no problem.

As a side note, now that people seem to have figured out that my pic collections exist, there is an ethical question here. Not that this is an excuse, but anyone who has posted a pic on the internet must know by now that, if it's a hot photo (which Domink20's certainly are), people will copy it. I'm certainly not pretending to be him and I'm not selling them or anything and I stand to make no personal gain here. Actually, I've just been collecting pictures for years and my hard drive was getting full, so I threw them up on yahoo. If this is a problem for anyone (I'm sure a few of the guys I have pics of make it onto this site occasionally), let me know.

I am in there too and in my opinion if guys dont want thier pics to be seen, then they should not post them in the first place.
