For me possibly being tracked by only one, has got to be better than actually being tracked by "580 different tracking technologies and more than 200 tracking companies" without any permission to do so.

Not like im trying to hide anything, just dont want to give out browsing info to every fucking passer by.

Just like how do you know Internet Security app vendors actualy are not the ones making viruses in the first place?

Problem is, we can not be 100% sure, so we have to use our best judgement.

Thanks for the link - looks like a decent tool. It had good reviews on cNet.

As some of the other posters mentioned, always make sure any adblockers or cleaners have decent reviews, or come from a reputable software vendor. There are, indeed, many malicious apps out there that claim to "speed up your computer" or "protect you from spyware."

All cookies are not bad. They serve a purpose. They simply track you, so the site you visit (next time) will remember you and will load faster. Having said that, everyone should have a good anti spyware program and scan once a day. I will check this program out. Often times new programs claim they protect you and in the end they are tracking you and selling your information. I stick with Superantispyware. Simply by clearing your browser history (cache) will get rid of most of the spyware and cookies. This program sounds more like a fraud than anything else. I have seen programs such as Norton infect computers with viruses. Then when the 60 day free trial is up, they got you. Kind of like a doctor giving you a cold and then saying see, you need me. Here are some programs that are free and easy to use. I use them daily. If you are using Internet Explorer stop. Its not safe. Use Firefox or Chrome. If you use these programs daily and remember safe surfing, you shouldn't have any problems. There are very little cookies on LPSG. and they are good cookies. No spyware. I have scanned this site upside down in my nearly 6 years here. Nothing. Very safe.
