Me too. That's an emotional connecting that you say you mostly have no interest in Jace.

But bonding is not romantic. Bonding is what straight men do with each other. I feel comeroderie and can joke with a guy who just sucked my dick. I dont want to cuddle with him or feel close to him in a physical kind of way. Just not the same. I know what I feel toward women. And it just isnt there. I dont treat these guys badly. But I can move on without looking back.

Jace, are there other seemingly straight men at your gym hooking up with dudes?

Good question. Yes, a couple. As I said somewhere above, you can tell who is gay/bi and who is straight in the cruising ritual. The gays are very focused on the other guy and are doing the pursuit. They will sometimes even follow their mark around and try to get his attention. The straight guys aren't so much looking around but are clearly making themselves available by hanging around too long with a semi. These straight guys are just looking to get sucked and so aren't showing the same fascination in the bodies of the other guys. If you are paying attention, you can see the clear differences.

Dude, you are so my hero. Thanks for putting up with the negativity. These guys either dont understand or dont want to. But you have really helped me put words to my experience. You are just making so much sense. And no, I am not emotionally nor sexually attracted to my hand, either!!

I dont think you are going to find lots of straight guys to comment on this sort of thing, though. They are over at the pussy porn sites getting off, if they are online!

Also, jace, it is interesting to note that there are other guys on here who have agreed with you, but all the haters are just going after you. They are trying to make this into something personal, which it really isnt. It is just a thing that happens and you have dared to talk about it. Funny that they are shaming you in much the same way that gays have been shamed in the past. I can see it now, "We're here. We're straight. Suck our dicks and get used to it." haha

Jacero10,

You didn't approach one single concern I expressed to you. You can ignore facts but you can't ignore consequences. When they roll in consequences demand your attention. You answered a question not asked. Most serious of which I ask; you say you want, need women for romantic relations. What happens when you have three kids and you wife finds out you are stepping out with a man?

When you sew trouble you reap trouble. It is always reaped later than you sewed it and you always reap more than you sew. I know the rules to some degree at least. I just don't have sex with men and my wife is not happy about any of my interests. Funny thing is I saw my first Gay Porn in High School and I have been addicted ever since. You think you are going to have the balls to let go of a mans head and be true to your wife? I don't think so. It will only get worse and the trail of disappointments you are going to leave in your wake will be a real shame because all you had to do was to stop the first one and sooner of later at three a week you will catch something if its only thrush on your penis. Out there somewhere is a guy with aids, why do you think the CDC has been so concerned that the spread is mainly through "men who hae sex with men", I jast wish for you that the one you hurt is only yourself.

Hey nudie. It's cool. I can take it. And, you are right. It's not personal. Some see only what they want to see. Some set themselves up as experts and are into judging others. I've done that in my life plenty before. Who hasn't? But at some point in life I think we just have to get beyond that. I dont want to be stuck in that negative mode and I try not to get draw into that mode. It's not what I'm about. They can have their opinions.

I know who I am, what I am and how I am to other people. I dont need anyones approval, certainly not the approval of someone on an anonymous internet forum. I am not into personal attacks, but am here for personal understanding of both myself and others. I am actually learning an awful lot about myself here on this thread from those with similiar experiences and even from those who are critical. In the end it is all good.

What you say is true. What can I say? It is equally true from everyone who is having sex outside an exclusive relationship. It is true for many in hs. Most in college. And just about everybody I know in their early and mid 20's. I dont know what to say to you.

Whether you have feeling or not for the person you are having sex with doesn't determine your orientation. There are plenty of straight men that have sex with women and don't want or have special feelings for them, but they are still straight. Maybe you don't have those feelings for the men you have sex with because you haven't met the right one yet. Maybe one will come along one day and you will like the sex and have special feelings for him, then you will realize that you are gay (by your definition).

I've hooked up with a friend in the shower room at school. We're good friends and have been since the fourth grade (we graduated HS last year). Both of us are straight, in fact he was voted Homecoming King and Best Couple. (I took Prom King)

We were both on the varsity basketball team and one Saturday night, after we won state simi-finals, everybody on the team was excited. My friend and I got to the locker rooms late, as the local media interviewed us. Midway through our shower, nearly everybody else on the team had left the team locker room.

We just messed around, as usual. But, this time, he thought it would be funny to put a glob of shampoo on my cock. In a playful manner, like friends do, I told him to get it off. As the jokester he is, he interpreted it literally and started to jack me off.

I began to play with his balls and one thing lead to another and after a few minutes, we were on the shower room floor 69 position.

Since then, I have been a bit more open to the gesture, but I am very limited to who.

Funny, that is what people used to say to gays. "Maybe you just havent met the right woman." Believe me. I know the difference between emotional attraction, physical attraction, behavior and orientation. I dont jerk off to fantasies about men or watch gay porn. I like to get off and guys are easy and available and most are fun to be with. But, I dont desire to snuggle with them. In fact, if they keep their clothes on, great. But, there is nothing like a motivated guy working my dick like his life depende on it!!

I think there is plenty missing from your idea of male sexuality. This isn't just a matter of linguistic definitions.

Some 30% of men have had sexual contact with other men to the point of orgasm. Only about 3% are exclusively gay. Of the 30% who have had sex with men, most marry and only had sex with other men as an experiment or as a phase. Male sexuality can attach itself to just about anything. And it can unattach itself, too.

So, let's dispense with this kind of simplistic thinking. Besides, your comment is off topic.

NO, you are wrong. Straight men are straight, bottom line. If you hook up with dudes you are bi or gay. I can see experimentation as a child part of your theory however a sexually mature guy who 'experiments' with the same sex is bi. Straight means straight, and straight guys dont like dick, not even the thought of it.

Wow, nike. Awesome! It just goes to show that anyone or anything that gives you stimulation can get you off. And who that is in a given situation doesnt make you gay or straight. A vegetable can get you off, but that doesnt make you a vegetarian!! haha

time is the ultimate judge. everyone is different, but some of us have been through more than you might give us credit for. our experience taints the lens thru which we see the world, as everyone's life experience does. what some see as "denial", might be
a "phase" to someone else.

and i do truly believe that a woman's opinion of what defines a man as "straight" carries a lot of weight, since a sexual
relationship with a woman is really where the "straight" part comes into all this.

But I hear what you're saying. You can define yourself however you want.

But it's kind of like people that cheat on their partners but don't have any feelings for the other person saying that they are not really cheating. "It was just sex."

I know it's just words and a matter of semantics, but straight guys do not hook up with other straight guys at the gym! What you and these other men are is bisexual or perhaps gay if you are completely off women. :duh:

Is it just me or have definitions of a few words changed over the last few years?

"Gay" used to mean happy, then it meant homosexual, now with teens it means lame.

Straight used to mean heterosexual now it seems to be more like not camp (not efeminate)

language is evolving do we need to be that picky?

For me, it's not only that I dont want to snuggle with them, it's that I really am not interested in sex with them beyond them getting me off. I am not into them sexually. Rather they are into me sexually and that helps to get me off.

Straight men who are emotionally involved with women are at least sexually attracted to them. Again, it's different.
