Why, herodotus, would you postulate that LPSG has members define their percentage of gay vs. straight within the profile? Have you never heard of the Kinsey scale of sexuality?
I don't know, perhaps the percentages are precisely because of the Kinsey scale of sexuality? Is this just a rhetorical question?
Just because you perceive straight as such through your 2 eyeballs and singular brain, does not make it so. I would encourage you to read and understand Kinsey. If not, look at the volume of people here not claiming to be completely straight.
I don't know what you're on about. I don't care about people's sexuality. Gay, straight, bi (to whatever degree) is fine with me.
If you understand this, then, why not let people use the label of their primary choice, just like we do for trans folks, or nothing at all? Whatever makes people happy.
This is the crux of the issue. Words need to have meaning. If they don't communication becomes impossible.
"I don't like ice cream, it's so spicy that it gives me brain freeze."
"Do you mean "cold"?"
"No, I like to use the word 'spicy'."
"But that's not what 'spicy' means."
"That's what 'spicy' means for me. You don't get to define my words..."
You can do that with anything. "Look at my hard, throbbing 8" vagina". or "Look at my hard, throbbing 8" sofa".
I don't make the rules here. The continuum of Straight - Bi - Gay, with the option for self determined percentages is listed in the forum rules. If you don't like it, take it up with Mr. LPSG. I'm happy to "let" people assign whatever they want to themselves. I will disagree when self-proclaimed "straight" guys claim how much they like sucking dicks, getting fucked in the ass by other guys, etc... "Straight" loses any meaning. Maybe I'll just label myself 100% gay, but ask the gay forum why they don't find dicks and assholes disgusting, or if they have secret desires to eat pussy. Because, you know, as a 100% gay man I am not sexually attracted to other men and you don't get to define "gay" for me...
