I don't shave my pubes, but I have a good female friend who told me that she has her BF shave, as he has hair that goes quite a bit up his dick. She said that she only asked him to trim it off of his shaft (mainly for oral) but he just takes off the whole bush. Being a nudist for 20 years, I have witnessed the gradual but steady decline of pubic hair on both men and women. I keep my balls and shaft shaved. Pubes are trimmed short. I don't bother the rest of my body. Dollar Shave Club recently did a poll and 69% of women said to leave the body hair alone. I've never never had any complaints. If you can't see your results from the gym then perhaps you should spend more time there. I shave my legs. It's a cyclist thing. I shave them regularly to keep them smooth at all times. I also always shave balls. My shaft isn't hairy except a few hairs just down at the base which I also shave. Sometimes I also shave my pubes whilst I'm at it. Right now I have a trimmed bush though.
