Indeed. I'm from Los Angeles and knew a few people in porn (straight and gay), and a couple gay guys I knew who did gay porn also did a few scenes in straight porn - according to them it was about the available work. they were either over saturated in gay porn and this 'cross over' was a way to increase marketing efforts, or they stopped working in gay porn but needed a gig to pay rent. they said it's all acting anyway, and sexual attraction wasn't needed to 'perform' which I found quite interesting..
