So if we were to apply labels to the continuum what would they be?

    60% Straight 40% Gay = Hetmosexual

    1. "Remember the Prime Directive, you cannot contravene the straight/gay continuum."
[Seven-of-Nine in the little-remembered episode of Star Trek: Voyager, "Boy Planet", season 69.1]

    2. I think the classic list assembled by Thedrewbert might be a useful reference here:

I think a poster called Drewbert has
a pretty good 'scale' of sexuality he's
    drawn up...

Here's what he said about a month ago:

Makes sense to me. I'm the same way but in reverse. I don't find women attractive, but I like them for sex acts.

You sir, are heteroflexible on the Drewbert scale of sexuality. It goes like this:

    1. Heterosexual - likes the opposite sex only

    2. Heteroflexible - likes the opposite sex, will only enter long term relationships with the opposite sex, has "relations" with the same sex only on occation.

    3. Bisexual - likes both sexes equally, equal chance of a long term relationship with either sex.

    4. Homoflexibile - likes the same sex, will only enter into long term relationships with the same sex, has "relations" with the opposite sex only on occation.

    5. Homosexual - likes the same sex only.

Hard to give a labe to my percentage because it is all so fluid.

There was a time when my plan was to change mine everytime I logged onto the board depending upon my mood and feeling for that day (or recent time period).

Some days I feel REALLY straight (meaning I want to eat pussy and fuck tits among other things) and other days I feel REALLY gay (Cum anyone?).

    I consider myself bisexual.

I lie somewhere between these two; closer to 4 but would not say "only" in either place it's currently used.

I guess that makes me "Sexual-Ho"?

Vinny... Everyone wants a piece of you. I say keep it "unsure" to maintain the peace.

P.S. - I'm allergic to pussy. It makes my dick go soft and shrink.

Why do we need all these confusing labels. Can't we just be "sexual'? Sexuality is such a fluid contiuum. (pun not intended) It's such a grey area, there really is little black and white.

Just gives us something to jaw about...
    and sometimes in these discussions
soMeone will bring up a very interesting
    or salient point.

I don't see any harm in saying how
we view our own sexuality anyway.

    People have preconceived notions
about so many things in life. I mean
what do you think of when someone
    mentions a big-breasted blonde...do
you automatically think of a warm,
caring, funny person or do you perhaps
think of all the blonde jokes you've
    read over the years?

I'm not saying you in particular, Prep.
    Ongoing dialogue about things does
    help to elucidate matters.

How many times have we been put on the spot during a conversation or a chat up, and asked, "so, are you straight". Is the common response, "I don't do labels"?

We respond with what's native, what we know of ourselves. The labels are adjectives, descriptors. They allow us to apply ourselves within our own realities, our own societies. They hinder us only by their interpretive definition.

As a way to tackle the greyness of the continuum, I was provoking folks to create their own terms on their own terms. Funny, serious, preposterous.

I was hoping to give folks an opprtunity to color themselves in Crayon.
