I've messed with a few toys and the experience is mixed. Sometimes it's something kin of new in a good and enjoyable way, other times I'm just wondering "why am I doing this again?", not so much out of a painful reaction but I can't really come up with an answer other then, "eh".

That being said I've personally bought a vibrator before for personal use, and that one has been tossed. That being said, I'm very seriously considering replacing it with a better one.

It's not my cup of tea. A girl tried her finger once, and while I didn't love it, I did come very strongly when I got off (though that did take a while.)
