My name is John, I'm 42 and I buy boxer shorts when I need new ones.

I don't get it. What is the issue at hand?

my age is none of your damn business lol. hell no I wouldn't buy boxers from AF.....

I refuse to buy anythign from A&F, Holister, or any other store that sells their mundane 'hip' clothes at such outrageous prices. I think its assinine to pay $60 for a t-shirt with some stupid ass design on it, when, after wearing it for awhile, its going to fade, get old and ratty, just like a $5 t-shirt from target will.

AE isn't that bad, and in the past I have purchased clothes (boxers included) from them.

Oh, and WTF does it matter if the person buying these over priced boxers is gay or straight?

Apparently shopping and A&F or American Eagle makes you gay.

I tend to agree that A&F, Holister are way over-priced. American Eagle is better with pricing and then we have Aeropostale which is even cheaper.

I always buy my own underwear and yeah - what does being gay/straight have to do with it? LOL.

i usually buy underwear when I see something that I like- rarely do I purchase something because I *need* it.

And I guess I prefer to buy my underwear from another man, rather than a woman. Is that wierd?

Still don't understand ur issue about being unconfortable buying ur own underware... it's only clothes! BTW and for own experience it can be a good time to flirt around hehehe specially when u r buying thongs or things like that!

and considering u r mostly str8 ... probably one day you'll end in a Victoria Secrets store buying sexy clothes for ur girl, so be prepared!

    peace!

I think you guys missed the point of the question... I think....

I think the poster is afraid to buy underwear... My roommate is as well and a couple months ago, when he needed new underwear he made a list and asked me to buy for him. I was at first like "buy your own damn underwear" but after i saw him in a store actually put the underwear back down and continue to wear holey old stuff.... I caved... btw we are both 23...

I can buy my own underwear, and did so for the first time at age 14 from A&F.. but then I found a lot better brands like 2xist, and most recently ck steel.....

yeah, umm i don't have a problem with buying underwear. Sure, it was probably a little weird the first time, but so was buying condoms, but you kinda have to do that at some point, and it just gets to be normal after a while. I don't even think about what I buy anymore. If I need it, I go buy it. Whatever it is.
    I'm 18.

I have no problem... and never have had a problem buying underware when needed... or because I thought they looked like something I'd like, regardless of store.

I actually feel more comfortable buying my underware when I'm alone *shrugs*

Funny thread. I am 49 and buying things like underwear stopped being an issue about 30 years ago for me.

    hey...just so you know...

you're not the only person who wears underwear.

Man, if you're having an issue with this...I'd hate to imagine how you'll handle Preparation H! Or hell....anti-diarrhea pills as well!

Um, yes, some people would consider that... er... plain weird.
I guess we all have our hangups.
I personally think buying condoms is way worse!
As if the salesclerk (male or female) really needs to know how big your dick is, or whether or not your partner enjoys slurping on strawberry-flavoured latex.

Don't forget buying tampons for the woman in your life, the vagisil, the 'bladder leakage' products, and the plethra of other embarassing things a man will have to buy at one point in his life.

Oh.....I forgot to mention this.....being a straight man, buying a jumbo box of condoms, a large bottle of lube, a thing of preperation-h and panty liners. You can not imagine the looks I got when I was in the check out! lmao :biggrin1:

if someone is seriously that self-conscious about buying "embarrassing" items...

hit up Wal-Mart and just do the "self checkout"

Funny. That's actually a quote by Andy Warhol: "I'd rather watch someone buy their underwear than read a book they wrote."
