5 1/2 -- I'd say it puts you in a little less than "100% straight" category. Not that it matters, but I think that the desire to suck a cock makes you less than 100% straight. I myself have no desire to suck a cock, and I don't even consider myself 100% straight. Honestly, I don't think anyone IS 100% straight.
That aside.... back to the point of this thread....
I think that if straight men had no desire to see other men's cocks then straight porn would consist only of girl-on-girl action. There would be no men in straight porn. Straight porn is mostly consumed by straight men. So, obviously, we like seeing the penis in there.
I think that no one really questions it because of a subtle issue. I'll try to make this point quick before I bore everyone.... During periods of European history it was illegal to depict male nudes unless the nude male bodies were in action, athletic, doing something. The depiction of a nude male form just for aesthetic entertainment was illegal during some eras.
I think we still have this present in our culture today. None of us straight males feel insecure to admit that we watch straight porn where men are often naked and where there are huge penises. We usually don't question our sexuality at all when we watch straight porn. In my opinion, this is because in straight porn the men and their penises are usually in action. They are not just there to be looked at. They have a job to do (fuck the woman), and we enjoy watching them get the job done. And we like to imagine that we are the guy getting the job done.
I think that where we start to get insecure is when we start to admire the penis simply as an object of beauty, just for it's looks. When we look at another penis and think, "He's got a nice one," or, "I wish mine looked like that...."
As for me, I feel a deep sense of male pride when I see a beautiful erect penis. That's as far as it goes for me. I have no desire to touch it, to have an encounter with another man, etc. I just feel empowered to know that other men have penises, big penises.
I think of it this way. Men usually don't like to see other men emasculated. How do you feel when you see a man who is degraded by a woman? Well, some men are into that, but most of us aren't. Most of us don't like to see men not be men. Most of us don't like to see men emasculated. Even though he was apparently a jerk, most of us men around the world HATED to hear what happened to John Wayne Bobbit. (If you've been living in a cave, he's a man whose wife cut off his penis.)
So, if we hate to see other men emasculated, would it make sense to say that the opposite may be true? Would it be the truth that we like to see other men EMPOWERED in their masculinity?
That's how I feel about it. When I see pictures of men on this site, men with big powerful looking penises, I feel that they are empowered, and that makes me feel empowered.
Other good points have been made on this thread. For example, women are allowed to compliment one another without anyone questioning their sexuality. Men aren't given that in most of society, so we have to come to sites like this and hide behind anonymous user names.
