Good point, Ganymede.

I partially agree. Because if you take a lot of straight men, make them watch straight porno, and ask them if they like to look the big penises, i think the majority will answer: "I don´t pay attention to the penises, i just look at the girl, her movements and her face expressions". Does it mean that they are hidding the truth? Maybe. I have watched porno without paying any attention to penises, i have seen it but i haven´t looked at it. Out of the topic "look and compare", the penis of another man is nothing but just a part of his body. Hence the fact that i would never say "i look at cocks", but i have no problem to do it.

Any guy who watched straight porn and says he doesn't look at the penis is lying. How else would we all know that Ron Jeremy and Lexington Steele and Peter North are hung? I was watching an episode of Love Line a while ago, and two straight guys were joking that they used to refer to Peter North as "Old Faithful" because his ejaculations were like eruptions.

With straight men when it comes to the question of anything to do with homoeroticism, what they say is often different from what they do.

The pornography industry is about making money. If straight men weren't watching the penis have sex with the woman, then the penis wouldn't be necessary. If the penis weren't necessary then the porn industry would cut costs by no longer paying men to appear in their videos.

With straight men and the penis in straight porn, it's similar to the admiration that we have for sports starts. It's very common for men to hang posters of sports stars are their wall. That doesn't mean they want to have sex with them, but that they want to be them.

Good point, Ganymede.

I was watching I Love the 90s, that VH1 show a while ago. They did a retrospective about the year that Tommy Lee/Pam Anderson video. The commentators, all of whom were straight males, one of whom is a black sports caster for ESPN, were going on about how hung Tommy Lee is. The black guy said, "Yeah, all us black guys were saying, 'Tommy's like a brother!'" And then one of the straight white guys said, "Never before had straight men gushed over another man's penis so much!"

Yes, we all love the big penis, for different reasons, though.

Straight or gay EVERYONE Loves Hung cock.

Arguably, the ability to see beauty/good-looks in another member of your gender means you have a homoerotic aspect to your personality. As everyone has this ability, the argument is that everyone is "a little" gay. Doesn't mean you want to have sex with the same gender, just that you can see beauty in it.

As far as I'm concerned (and the guys I know) being straight/gay is about who you want to have sex with and nothing else.
There are those that think any man who can appreciate art (be it photography, painting or even a guy playing a guitar and singing) must be a little bit gay. Those people are idiots.

The men who say that any man who appreciates art is "a little gay," are themselves also a little gay -- at least according to most psychologists.

Having a homoerotic impulse has nothing to do with your lifestyle. Most psychologists agree that everyone, whether they are dancers in Broadway musicals or the most macho firemen in rural, redneck America, have a homoerotic impulse.

You said this one was just for guys but I'm chipping in anyway, on the grounds that I talk to a lot of guys and straight guys will often confide something to a woman that they wouldn't necessarily mention in public. Not all but a very high number of straight guys look at cock pics, there's an element of wanting to compare but there's also the simple fact that they like looking at cock, I think it's an extension of the feelings they have towards their own cock. A considerable number of straight guys admit that they'd like, just once, to have a cock to play with and suck but few of the ones who consider themselves straight want to kiss/hold/fuck/be fucked-whilst saying they're not in the least attracted to men they are attracted to cock.

So, here I am... on the lpsg.. again..
like always...
and 'the chick' walks in the room, and says something like...
"I am starting to think that you love cock more than I do"

hmmmmmm...

what do y'all think?
is it strange for a 'straight' guy to look at pics of other guys?
its really not a big deal to me, with my background and all..
hmmm.
I dunno.. chime in.

Dahaa... and her point is to imply..... Hell... It's a Large Penis Support Group!
How can U be a part of something if U don't see...it's part of the elements of the site & membership.
My ex-wife use to look and read my Playboy & Hustler Mags. each month
more than I did.
I do hope some LPSG Ladies will give U some good feedback.
Food for thought: Would pron actually sell if there were no dicks involved?
.....DON'T THINK SO:biggrin1:

Thanks for chiming in. That's interesting, and true. Men will confide to women things they wouldn't admit to other men.

I think the Internet has allowed for some exploration that wasn't allowed before. I read an article that said the Internet has allow a lot of straight men to explore a "bicurious" aspect of their personality.

I think that what this all points to is just the fact that men are more oppressed than women in some ways. As I mentioned before, a woman can compliment and admire another woman's body without any problem. I've heard straight women openly admire other women's bodies, speak with reverence about how beautiful they are. My sisters have openly admired the other bodies of good looking women, and they are straight. No one bats an eye when it's a woman who talks this way. But if a man does the same, everyone starts thinking it must mean he's gay.

There is that episode of Seinfeld, "The Apology," where Elaine says to Jerry, "The female body is a work of art." She acts like it's a really wonderful thing for a woman to admire another woman's body, and no one bats an eye. Could you imagine the controversy it would've caused if Jerry or George or Kramer said, "The male body is a work of art"? The Apology (Seinfeld episode) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'd agree with that entirely, Princess. I don't label myself (I'd have no idea what to label myself) but it's an avenue that I've explored many times - however it's as far as I would want to go with another guy. The other options make me want to run a mile but I've no inhibitions at "bashing one out" with a like-minded mate (the trouble is getting other guys to admit that they wouldn't mind a bit of exploration!).

I think we are talking about two questions at once. One thing is looking at a cock as you can look at a hair cut, judging and comparing, and another thing is looking at it and feel some kind of sexual attraction.

If i watch a porn movie scene, where the guy is practising a cunnilingus, i look at his tongue, obviously, and i´m excited, but i don´t feel any attraction towards that tongue or the owner. Is just a tongue. It can be long, pink, thick, but nothing but a tongue. And if it´s a cock, is just a cock. And if you take the girl´s body away, i won´t watch the movie. That means not looking at the cock. You see it but anything else.

And of course, while you are seeing it you are analysing it, like you do with the most of the things you see.

Completely agree with the social pressure on men about admiring another man body. It is socially gay, or at least, suspicious to be. And this is probably the reason for many men to deny the fact of looking at cocks. Even if you are not sexually concerned, you tend to hide the curiosity. And mixing the non-sexual curiosity with the sexual interest, doesn´t help to a social acceptance of straight men looking at cocks.

Anyway, if a guy tells that he doesn´t look at cocks i haven´t a reason to think he´s lying.

So you personally know everyone on here? I have no wish for any kind of sexual contact with men and you are full of bull!

Any male who peruses a website devoted to the most masculine of qualities - penis size - must have some degree of attraction toward said appendage, whether it be respect, envy or lust. Whether it reflects some repressed homoerotic desire or not, the uncertainty at least, is worth 1% on the gay scale. :greddy2:

Arousal of "straight" males to an erect penis is evident in other primates as well. I recall reading somewhere (old Carl Sagan book, I believe) about male monkeys that develop erections and become physically agitated when they see another male strutting around with an erection. This excitement is is likely generated in anticipation of a fertile female being in the area and a chance to copulate. The similar reaction of men to big erect cocks may be a deep rooted survival instinct to prepare them for sexual activity. Can this be considered homoerotic? Does the erection stimulate thoughts of females or is it the cock that arouses them directly? In either case, the end result is a boner, ready for fucking. :adam4:

Point 1 : Yes,my own appendage.It's sheer narcissism!
Point 2 :Speak for yourself pal,I don't get a "boner" if I see other guys erections.
If you still don't see why a "100% straight" guy would sign up here and stick around,in my case it was WildHoney.Enough said?

When I see someone has labeled themselves "100% straight" what I take that to mean is that in behavior they don't have sexual relations with men and they aren't interested in hooking up with other men on this site for encounters.

However, I can't help but recall the song "Electric Chair" by Prince, off of the original Batman soundtrack. The chorus goes, "If a man is considered guilty for what goes on in his mind then give me the electric chair for all my future crimes."

In other words, I do believe it is possible for you to be "100% straight" in behavior, but I don't believe for one second, bro, that you haven't, even if only in some fleeting moment back when you were 12 years old and swimming with your childhood friends, had some homoerotic/homosexual thoughts and desires.

I think that when a man labels himself "100% straight" they are saying two things: 1. I am not interested in any homosexual physical encounters. 2. I won't admit to my homosexual thoughts.

Point 1 : Yes,my own appendage.It's sheer narcissism!

Human sexuality is so delightfully complex and varied that it behooves each of us to try to appreciate the ways in which different people deal with it. I'm delighted to post at this site because here I feel free to give free rein to matters I do not get to deal with in most social settings. It's quite liberating!

I don't like labels and I wondered whether I could estimate what part of my sense of my own sexuality was/is "gay" and how much "straight". I ended up married and I have no desire to change that, but the brain is marvelous in retaining the memories of one's sex activities from the first to the most recent. Actually, I think the memory is more of the persons one shared sex with. My partners in homosexual activity are still dear friends and I am always grateful for the love we once shared in great sexual rapture.

Yes, comparisons are odious. I'm glad to be me but I also see that you are just as glad to be you. At least I hope that is true.
