In the last couple of years, as I've begun to feel more comfortable with own body appearance - I'm not too thin, I'm not too fat, I have just felt a little uncomfortable with public nudity - I've begun to challenge myself a bit more. I've been to some bathhouses in China. While visiting Scandinavia, I've also been in public nude occasions, including at saunas and nude beaches. In my own country, I've remained a bit shy. I swear there's a few years of therapy in this. But tonight I decided to challenge myself and went to a Korean bathhouse. It was a male/female "traditional bathhouse" with absolutely no sense of it being a gay sauna or anything like that. They had treatments and stuff and it was all very traditional. I noticed however the entire male clientele were clearly gay men. In about two hours, thirty or forty people would have come through and it was clearly pretty cruisy. It made me wonder, in Western countries like Australia and the UK and the USA where we don't really have a cultural history of public nudity - if it's pretty much gay men who go to these places. At nude beaches there always seems to be a "gay end". Do bath-houses even if they're not gay bathhouses, pretty much attract gay men anyway? Aside from the sports culture of the locker room, is there much of a culture of straight men and communal public nudity. Thoughts? P.S. It's been good for my headspace to feel more comfortable with being nude in public. P.P.S There was a guy tonight who was definitely higher-end LPSG material. Hi if you're on this site!
