I was wondering, a while back there was a thread saying that "He doubts that gay men look at women differently than gay men and the only difference is lack of the sexual factor". So I'm gonna ask:

Straight guys, who are some male celebrities you find attractive and "hot"

No replies? That's disappointing...It won't make you "less man", you know!

Greg Plitt- Guy's body is perfect.
Dirk Nowitzki- Even though I'm not as tall as him, are playing style is kind of similar in terms of basketball. Love pretty much everything about him.
James Hetfield- I think it's cool how he can change his look every couple months. Also his voice is ridiculously awesome.

    Attached some pics below.

And in general, I tend to admire guys who are blonde, athletic, and have good bodies. So basically, I think guys who look like me are hot lol

This question is certainly a microcosm for a far broader societal issue I've always found both sad and intriguing. Most straight women I know won't think twice about complimenting another woman or making known who & what they find attractive within their gender. On the other hand I, a gay man, wouldn't think twice about naming women as well as men I find attractive.
Yet most straight males seem to avoid voicing any feelings regarding what they find attractive in other men like the plague. It's amazing how much damage the brainwash we call 'conformity' will do to us.

Off track but I get asked if I am James Hetfield every time I am in New York. Makes me laugh

    Plitt is flawless.

Any "str8" guy who can't admit another guy is goodlooking is a closet case, IMHO. Must have something to hide or he wouldn't act so silly. I mean come on. Makes them look ridiculous to be so "desperately" str8.

I have a wicked crush on Phil Rivers from the San Diego Chargers. Clean cut, preppy looking, and a helluva athlete.

    BRAVO KTF40!

Problem is TyUnshaved that, by-in-large, society dictates that should a heterosexual man say another man is goodlooking he fears he'll be suspect of latent homosexual inclinations.

Of course being happy I was born gay I take personal umbrage at this.

Unless I'm mistaken TyUnshaved you're referring to heterosexual men finding another man aesthetically good looking. Guys? THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SEX BOYS.

This is one mutha-fucking telling thread which connects directly to mine about the inequities in how straight males (generally) view sexuality versus straight females. (questions for straight guys thread ...)

I'm beginning to wonder if indeed females, in general, are simply more evolved.

    Oh Bah.

Apparently when I get older, I'm going to look a bit like that Clooney chap.

Only I have blue eyes. So maybe I'll look more like Newman.

But then if I go grey, I could end up looking like Einstein

So, the above two and Richard Burton, you'd do him woldn't you, and Robbie Williams.

I don't see the sexiness in skinny men I'm afraid.

To give Str8 guys a bit of slack here, we would look at other guys in terms of women wanting to fuck them, whereas, if you are gay, I presume you are looking at the guys in terms of you wanting to fuck with them.

    It's a different perspective.

Not necessarily. I see guys I think are good-looking and recognize that others might think so too but if they're not my type, my sexual reaction borders on the meh. Like Sean Connery. I've always thought he is a great-looking guy who aged amazingly well but he's not someone who ignites my sexual interest so I look at him as just another guy.

Personally, vanity is about as unsexy as a syphilitic cunt, so all this celeb business goes right over my head. I struggle to name a famous person. I just can't remember their names as they are just not relevant to my life.

Connery, he must be in his seventies?? I'll stick with Clooney, he's a sexy guy as far as I know, which isn't saying a lot.

You name a guy, with a link, and I'll happily say whether they are sexy IMO.

It's not about who one would want to fuck. It's about societal brainwash that seems to render most straight men incapable of expressing admiration for the good looks of another man.
I can easily look at men I have no particular sexual attraction to, yet may still be attractive...and I'll say it. The old "I may be gay, but I'm not blind" rule applies when I see an attractive woman as well. I don't want a piece of the cooze, but I can admit that pretty is pretty when I see it.
An alternate example - I was with a woman this afternoon while Oprah's show came on the TV. She took one look at Oprah's guest Barbra Streisand, and said "she looks really nice for a woman in her 60's". Most straight men I know just seem incapable of saying similar things about other men. One ponders why?...

Quite possibly true. Hand in hand with that old demon brainwash that generations of men have endured regarding everything from toys, occupations, & clothing to men don't cry and they never express admiration for the good looks of another man!
God forbid we should violate any of society's gender norms!
