I've recently been in a rather heated debate with a British poster. One of the things I've always been interested in is how most women respond to the fairly recent trend of heterosexual males "main-streaming" bisexuality in women. I believe it actually has it's own term "Lesbian chic". In my opinion it only serves to further marginalize gay men into second class citizen status. Perhaps, truth be told, that's its subliminal intent.
By that I mean I've often heard heteosexual men actually say "Oh no! She's not gay she's a lesbian. It comes more naturally to women to be bisexual". Oddly it's not the heterosexual women saying this but it's the heterosexual men (in my opinion) forcing their fantasy onto women who'd not, of necessity, exhibit any inclination toward the same sex.
To me it's just another example of the endless lengths to which men suffering from the age-old patriachal mentality of "we must remain in charge" will go in their attempt to control and manipulate accepted sexual behavior; to meet only their sexual needs.
Oddly, I've found that if you ask many of these same men how they feel about bisexuality/heterosexuality in men they'll say "dude that's sick".
:33:Huh??
I'm interested to hear everyone's take.
