Straight Men Having Sex Or Kissing Gay Men To Solidify Their Mateship ?

Apparently the men in Norway and Sweden are very friendly with each other and always hug and kiss each other in greeting if they know you really well. So I guess male/male affection does indeed vary from culture to culture and indeed country to country. In Australia where homophobia is still quite prominent in some areas it is quite uncommon to see two men holding hands or hugging or even kissing each other on the cheek or mouth in greeting each other.

I think what makes it more of a sad thing for me is that I love affection and hugging and hate how down trodden it is here and that you cannot even look at a guy for more than two seconds without it being deemed bad and getting yelled homophobic abuse at when you are not thinking any gay thoughts about the guy in the first place. Some men have become so fearful of being labelled gay that they have simply become animals.

Do you think a lot of them DO though underestimate it, or are just maybe turning a blind eye to it like the media in general does ? Come to think of it, perhaps that's why some wives do not like their husbands hanging around gay men or someone they know they are gay because maybe, on some unconcious level, they are thinking their spouse maybe could fool around with another man behind their backs without a second thought ?

For example, there was a woman interviewed on TV news about an adult video store opening near her neighborhood. (Just for the record, I have been to AVS's but they don't belong in neighborhoods and I would fight one if it were to move near me.) Anyway...........she said she was worried men would go in there, see the porn, have their passions inflammed, then come out and rape someone!!

I yelled at the TV set -- "Lady! In the history of the world, no horny man has ever left an adult video store unsatisfied!!"

Guys go there to get off --with others or alone-- and they don't leave until they cum. She's an example of what I mean by most women not understanding male sexuality. They take their attitudes regarding sex and impute them to men. Well the sexes look at sex vastly differently. It's a stereotype, but there's some truth to it -- A woman needs to feel emotionally connected with someone to have sex. A man just needs a hole. (Yes, obvioulsy a LTR is better for most people, but we are talking the RANGE of human sexual behavior here. And when you are talking range, well, it's a wiiiiiide range.)

AVS's aren't evil. If anything, having these "marginal" (per society) sexual outlets is a safety valve for preventing sexual assaults.

If she had argued against it on the basis of its effect on property values, that would have been much more rational. But again, I do agree with her that they don't belong in neighborhoods. There are plenty of warehouse districts etc that they can go into. Plus, that makes it really convenient for the straight truckers that need blowjobs! LOL

It is still a shame that people make the link between pornography and causes of rape, much like they still connect violent video games to guys then going out and wanting to commit violent crimes. Any sane person knows the difference between fantasy and reality so seeing something in a movie, porn or not, should not be a nod to the viewer to go out and try the things they just saw on the screen.

What I find really interesting thanks to this site and having so many open minded blokes such as yourself to talk and post with is that male sexuality might actually be a lot more open and varied than the media at large would have us suggest it is. Like, a straight guy could have sex with a gay guy to show how much he cares for him but not be exclusively gay or want to actually even be with a bloke, while a gay guy might sleep with women now and then to satisfy his curiousity but is not wanting women for his desired sexual needs as a whole.

Anal sex is better between two men one would argue because of the prostate gland and chance for actual stimulation, and the feeling of something real and hot up there instead of a strap on or dildo from the wife or girlfriend. Another reason would be also that guys want sex to just get rid of their horny feelings at that moment and since guys more often than not want sex more than women, it is logically easier to shag a bloke than it is to go out and wine and dine a woman just for a blow job at the least.
