All of us men, gay or straight, like our penises. They draw attention to themselves. Vaginas, it seems to me, also attract us because they are so mysterious. They beckon forth our attention. And besides, when they aren't covered by hair they are just so darn hot!

The popularity of trans porn is so telling about "straight" men (just saw the other day that a trans porn video was a top seller on http://www.gamelink.com/main.jhtml

The internet tells the whole story about men's sexual interests (ghits, online purchases, genre of porn video clips watched etc.). Lying through your teeth won't get you too far anymore.

For the record, I have zero interest in trans porn! I don't get it, but many a straight man does.:biggrin1::eek:

I'm still wondering what the title of this thread means? "Straight men want penis". My next thought would be "for what?" All biological males have a penis so why would we want one other than our own? OR do straight guys want to see, look at, check out another penis on some random guy? I have enough male friends so if I want to look at them, I can. What else would a straight guy do with another penis then? I'm confused! ;-)

@hungjon, you must fall into that slim category of truly straight men.

I think what the title of the thread is referring to is the guys out there who refer to themselves as straight but are not and who secretly crave cock in their mouth or ass. I'm sure you know by now the larger portion of men in the world aren't totally straight. I'm sure there are a lot of straight men out there, but percentage wise not many.

Women too..

I'd like to make a few, quick points:

1) A typical adult male will feel attraction to the penis to some degree because he has one himself. And provided he enjoys being male (unless he is a transsexual lesbian or something lol), he will naturally feel attraction to others' (particularly erect ones, but also flaccid ones, particulalry if they are larger than average) as they naturally evoke feelings of sexual pleasure and male pride.

2) Men are by nature very competitive and "big" penis-flaunting is a way that men use to show dominance, supposedly making them better spreaders of their own "seed". This is why men are so attracted to penises in pornography: they are attracted to its ideal : a big, beautiful penis (which studs are to have).

All that said, these feelings mentioned above may be stronger in some men than others, but most males, I would argue, have these most natural of attractions. And these feelings are to be seen completely independent of homosexuality which is about varying levels of "overall" physical attraction to a specific gender with desires to create romantic relationships. Society, for some reason, wants to automatically equate penis attractions or fetishes with males to being gay or bisexual. It just goes to show you how ignorant we are as a society about human sexuality. The mere thought that men would not be attracted to the penis in some way or other is utter stupidity (just look at the content of straight pornography or locker room size-ups!).

Conclusion: Having a strong penis fetish or attraction gives little information about a man's true sexual orientation.

If you read enough posts by HungJon, you would know that he also is not "truly straight," nor does he claim to be.

Also, I don't watch girl on girl porn for the same reason. I mean, I watch it but I can't jerk off to it. I've never had a girl play with herself as I'm playing with myself to completion. Talk about a complete waste of time and lack of fun!

man, you have a lot of porn "rules":wank:

Everyone seems super keen on drawing conclusions and reading into things that don't demand it. I'm all for subtextual analysis but its really annoying to be repeatedly told in a round about way, "Hey man, you love cock!" Of course I want to see a cock in the porn I watch, that's what porn is: naked people fucking. I want to identify with the male protagonist, have a big strong boner, and satisfy the beautiful woman onscreen. I doubt halfway through I am going to go, "This chick's pussy is really hot but....hmmm wait a minute I'd love to have that cock in my mouth."

Hyperbole to make a point: come on. There's a difference between desire and appreciation. We've all read way too many "PROOF STRAIGHT GUYS LOVE COCK!!" threads and it's just getting stupid.

Go ahead and have a discussion about male pride, the phallus as a symbol of power, the vanity/excitement in comparing ourselves to one another, we're all here because of cock, but it's ludicrous to suggest so swiftly: "Straight men want penis". Nah, guys who want penis want penis. Guys who want trannies want trannies. Straight guys want girls.

And for the sake of intelligence, don't just purport things to be true and move on: "I'm sure there are a lot of straight men out there, but percentage wise not many." Before I'm accused of trying to take a black and white approach to the subject I personally wish everyone would continue to be who they want without necessity to have their perspective validated and conceded to. "Straight men want penis" is far more polarizing than anything I've suggested.

"Want" is perhaps not the best word. Perhaps "attracted to" is better. For the most homophobic, the best choice may be: "causes a sexual response in."

An unchanging reality is that most men are attracted to penises; and that fact alone gives no indication of a man's true sexual orientation.

Porn is in-your-face proof of the typical "straight" man's attraction to penis: even if some or many are not actually interested in having sex with men or sucking cock, the site of a big, swollen appendage titillates the average male, especially those ideal-looking ones. Seeing that virility triggers an impulse to the brain for sexual readiness and prowess, thus leaving a man feeling like a boned-up bull (ready for mount).

So you see that sexual orientation is much more than the natural attraction a man has for the penis (some more than others, of course). And sadly, our culture has grossly distorted the human male's true sexual nature by putting all those gay and bisexual labels on him for sexually responding to the very organ he himself possesses.

I think you're the one putting a label on it by jumping straight from the fact that most men are interested enough in penises to look if one is on display, to the implication that they're not as straight as they claim but hide it because they're ashamed.

I used the word appreciation, and I'll add to that things like hold in high regard, be impressed by, maybe even respect and admire. I'd say that's pretty sexually mature. I'm not gonna forfeit to this "attracted to" thing. You've gotta understand that for some guys it's all about the girl.

For most men, I see phallic admiration, respect, appreciation as all synonyms for attraction (signals a sexual response in most males for the reasons I outlined in my last post). That doesn't mean that you want to suck the penis, or have hands-on sex with another man. You're equating penis attraction in and of itself to homosexuality; but the reality is, is that it gives no indication to a man's true sexual orientation - not in the least!

Consider these questions:

Does getting turned on by looking at my big dick somehow make me gay or bisexual? Does getting aroused by comparing my big dick to other dudes, particularly porn stars, make me gay or bisexual in and of itself? Does liking to watch a big dick going in out and out of a hot pussy make me gay or bisexual?

How would then ticking any or all of the boxes to the above questions necessarily make it any less about the girl in light of my blatant heterosexuality? :biggrin1:

They're not.

You can't just negate the subject-object relationship man has with the world, it's not a three-step process. And you can't compare my feelings about my own penis to my feelings about other men's penises. You just simply cannot jump that gap in psychology so easily and willingly, no man could. Of course my being turned on by my own erect penis does not make me gay, but I regard it as my subject ("Look how big I am!"), not look at how attractive that object-penis to whom I have no affiliation is. And I reiterate that this notion, to remove myself (my consciousness) from MY penis so that I can view it as an object, is unfeasible.

I didn't jump on this one (how homoerotic was that!) the first time around, but I'll propose a thought experiment since those are apparently pretty reputable here: I'm flipping through cable at a house I'm housesitting and I'm totally unaware of the channels they get. I flip through reruns of friends, seinfeld, there's gotta be one show to watch, I just want to laugh after a long day, flip, flip, then naked muscular male standing in a medium shot in a porno valley style back yard with mountains behind him and he looks just so virile and ahhh (not a tit, a pussy, a pigtail to be seen). I click the channel up button faster than ever before. Eyes wide. Body frozen. "Whooaaaa....that was out of context."

"But wait, suddenly I feel something...like something's been triggered in my brain, why is it that I feel like a boned-up bull ready for mount??"

Yeah, that last part probably wouldn't happen for me. I just saw a naked man with an erect penis when I had not been searching for porn, in the mood for porn, and certainly not expecting to come across porn. I've just turned on the tv so I've hardly had time for the sexy garnier commercials and the ones for cialis where the chick is way too hot for the husband and I think "pssh I could fuck that guys wife." It's the words you use man. Titillate? To stimulate or excite (someone), esp. in a sexual way? That's exactly where I'm drawing the line. There is no stimulation, no excitement, no titillation.

You continue to associate homosexuality with the human male's natural penis attraction. It is not related at all in and of itself. I'm making generalizations, but most men feel varying degrees penis attraction - it is part of evolution (as described above)! They doesn't mean that every man suddenly get aroused when they see an erect penis in porn (although many do, but not necessarily all the time; it can be more complicated than that). The idea is: men have one themselves, and are naturally inclined to be aroused by others', particularly the ideal ones as defined by the culture in which they love. Again, it has nothing to do in of itself with latent desires with sex with men (oral sex, etc).

Yes, titillating, exciting, erotic and very stimulating for the average male. Straight porn content confirms it over and over and over again: men love to see big penises.

You are on a big dick site to show off, and that confirms that you have attraction to the penis, as is the case with most men. It doesn't make you any less heterosexual to admit it (I get it: you like women [I love pussy, too LOL], but that isn't the issue at hand, is it)

(By the way, there are a very small minority gay men who are not very aroused by the penises of other men just as there are a minority of straight men who are not; often times, trannsexual lesbians would be the biggest majority of the minority, imho)

trans porn grosses the FUCK out of me. For me, I need a penis in my porn so I can visualize myself. I don't watch black dude or uncut dick porn because of this. My dick isn't black and I'm cut. I need to be able to pretend I'm that dude. I remember my sexual experiences with what I'm watching.

Totally agree with this. I prefer watching black (str8) porn because i'm black, and they usually film with a kind of raw ferocity necessary for me to be interested.

Your foreskin rolls back when erect most of the time, but I have seen some porn where it hasn't, and I don't watch that either.

Confirming what someone else said: Having a large non-erect penis is also seen as a sign of sexual prowess, though obviously they may not be true.

No I don't.

I'm making generalizations, but most men feel varying degrees penis attraction

I've discussed why this is an incorrect statement to make, I don't understand why you feel the authority to use a word like "most."

The idea is: men have one themselves, and are naturally inclined to be aroused by others'

You realize this doesn't make any sense right? At least in the sense of it being an argument, there's been no logical evidence provided in this post or previous to support such a claim. You just write it, then reread it and believe it's true. There's no suitable explanation.

By the end of that post I'm not even passively, but boldly accused of hiding my attraction to penises, which is really the catalyst for me entering into this debate. Really fucking annoying. Yet again someone is trying to cram down my throat (yes!) that I truly do have an attraction, albeit a very mild one, to penises and that I'm ashamed of it (you never used the word ashamed, but the implication that I'm hiding it or refusing to admit it kind of suggests that).

The english language has lots and lots of words that a writer can use to pinpoint precisely what he is trying to convey. I draw attention once again to your choices of "attraction", "titillation", "arouse" and I have articulated the flaws, inconsistencies, and irrationality in using these terms with such unestablished authority. We're exchanging opinions here, you're trying to disguise them as fact. Do I seem like a hyperhetero jock declaring "Fuck no man! Dicks are gross ahh!!" Or have I presented a mature understanding of my relationship to penis in porn and respectfully assert that no, I do not have an attraction to penises? Is that so fucking hard to conceive?

You enjoy watching big dicks in porn, but you have no attraction to them. You're just putting yourself in the role (I've heard that a million times over lol). You like to show off your big dick on LPSG, but you have no attraction to the penis (well, you're attracted to your own unless you are a transsexual lesbian lol).. Well, in my mind, if you enjoy doing those two things, you have some attraction to the penis.

How can you argue that men liking big dick porn is not a display of phallic attraction. The visual appeal of one is a turn-on. It is not as if women are the producers of most porn. And don't forget all those billions of dildos and strap-ons men like seeing and using with their lady.

If men aren't attracted to the penis, then why isn't most porn lesbian porn? Because men like seeing the cock, particularly big ones.

We will just have to agree to disagree here.

Peace.
