Why do YOU think that is so?

Your pedantic trolling on this AASM section is getting boring. Not to mention nonsensical.

But to answer you question, I don’t know of any straight men who refuse friendships and more due to the sexual proclivities of others.

But that’s just me, maybe I have a lot of liberal, free thinking men as friends who could give a rat’s ass what someone’s sexual interests are.

I dont know they refuse. Tried to contact many roommates who are straight and they specifically say that they only want a straight person to be their roommate. Maybe it's the way they were raised or bad experiences they had with gay roommates.

Maybe it's because they don't like your friends with benefits program you discussed previously. Stop trolling

Take a look at the "Ask a Straight Man" section. Most of the questions and postulations are not from fellow straight men or women interested in the straight male psyche...its chock full of gay and bisexual men doing mental gymnastics about how to logic straight men into same sex encounters.

This. All of it. And we can also now add “they didn’t like my friends, so all straight men must be either homophobic or fear gays”. This section might be able to have its own bingo card like in AAW.

Or maybe it's just you.

I came across ones who specifically say that they want a straight male as their roommate however they dont mind a gay or bisexual female.
The desire for a roommate goes beyond just who can pay the rent on time and who cleans up after themselves. Part of it pertains to the lifestyle that particular straight man wants to lead; the social possibilities they are open or closed to. So on the shallowest end, sure call it underlying homophobia with men being fearful they will be physically objectified(if not violated) by a person they would have no desire to be with in any way...but also think of perception..not every woman is as evolved as we would like, not even the ones we love, so what do you think is going to be the most common and general assumption made about a man with a gay man as a roommate?
Straight men on average i dont think have lots of "gay friends", i think whats more common is friends that happen to be gay.
