Unless a straight person opens a thread in an Ask A Straight Man/Woman sub-forum everyone has the option to reply. The Ask forums have rules about who can reply, say a straight man asked the women a question only that one guy and the women can reply.
Of course the spirit of LPSG is mingling and boundary blurring flirting. But mostly folks are respectful of the vibe of a given thread. Not like the queer folk are gonna flock to a group of people getting their hetero mingle on.
