The sky was darkening. Jamie picked up the laptop computer and opened the front door, placing it inside. The young millionaire raked his fingers through his clean, blonde-streaked brown hair, and sighed deeply. Itd been a quiet week at his riverside getaway, not that it was much of a surprise. Accessible only by helicopter, the chateaux-like house was nicely tucked away between forest and river. However today felt different. A thick mist had been hanging around since the early morning, and as sunset arrived, the mist was clearing, only to be replaced by a steady drizzle. Jaimes deep blue eyes scanned the forest, a strange sense making him feel paranoid. Was that movement? Jaime leaned forward, his eyes squinting into the gloom, as if trying to see by will alone into the forest. There it was again. The mist cleared completely as the advancing line of drizzle cleared the air. Out of the etheric atmosphere, a man appeared, limping slightly. His feet were bare, and the bottoms of his jeans were torn. He was wearing a simple white singlet, lightly smudged with dirt like the rest of his body. As he stepped into the clearing around the house and came closer to Jaime, time seemed to slow. Covered in a light slick of sweat and drizzle, the light from the dying sunset gleamed gold off the strangers bronzed, muscled arms. The drizzle had wet the singlet, making it transparent. The cold had stiffened his nipples, the dark circles clearly evident under the clinging fabric. The hard lines of his defined pecs led to the curves of his abs, twisting slightly with each limp. Still stunned by the appearance of this stranger, Jaime had not moved and was now only meters away from the strange man. Sorry to impose, said the stranger, his voice deep and raspy, but could I sit down? he asked with a cheeky grin. The stranger blinked heavily twice, and then fainted, falling forward. Jaime caught him. The strangers solid chest felt warm against his own, his musky smell filling Jaimes nostrils, breaking his stupor. He held the exhausted stranger, dragging him inside.
