Talk about world's dumbest crooks!
Domanski confessed to taking the $200 and spending it on cocaine.Warwick police were first summoned to Wize Guys From Arthur Ave. Restaurant on Jersey Avenue about 1:30 a.m. Thursday by an alarm.
From the outside, all appeared normal and police left the scene.
But when the restaurant's owner arrived at work Thursday afternoon, he noticed that two $100 bills that had been attached to the wall were missing. A quick investigation revealed a pile of sawdust on the storeroom floor and other evidence a hole had been cut in the ceiling of the restaurant, which is below a row of apartments.
Upstairs, police found another pile of sawdust and tools belonging to Peter A. Domanski, 42, who's been living above the restaurant and renovating the empty units.- Times-Herald Record
